Maybe in your region they're common, and I've seen them on the forums, but if you roll up on those to a show here in south east Kansas, you'll turn some heads! haha. Couldn't imagine what AZA could do to a 26" rim. EDIT: well I can't forget about the hoopty! Whatever you decide, you know we'll all be here waitin' and watchin'!

because they are 2 hours away being built and im at the mercy of the guy sending me pics lol - he took off on business till tomorrow and his guys are assembling them now. Ill have more by like 11am i hope and then in a day or 2 i get em back. Being 3 piece, the sealant in between the front and rear dish needs to dry first. I see, well I'm thankful that we have this one. Can't wait to see them on the lex, gonna be sex!

What on earth are you talking about........... It's obvious he didn't have time for that guys, I mean he didn't even spell one whole word for the title of this thread. Give him a break!

cracked spider and one voice coil not working
Maticus replied to bdog's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
No, Clipping is caused by too much gain, or songs that just naturally clip. Clipping is when a round wave ends up getting squared off at the crest and the trough of a wave. You can never damage a woofer by under-powering it with a clean signal. -

With clipping those leads probably would have went before the coil, considering they are the old style flying round leads, correct? -

Cracks above the tinsel leads, caused from when the tinsels heated up too much from the amp sending clipped power and the burn made a weak spot causing it to rip with excessive movement? -

Moar pics! in box and everything. MOAR. -
Also, to clear up your post about loving techno, an 18 can play it just as well. Don't believe the under-educated that will say "Oh you have 18s? They couldn't keep up with double bass like my 10s do" Larger subs will still perform great, with the right soft parts they can be better.

3D Woofer Design

Been figuring more of the program out now, it's complicated as hell, haha. Designed a new beast, this thing is a 24" driver, with 18" wide 1" thick slugs and a 6" voice coil, complete with a spacer to add some cooling. This thing would be HUGE. I will also be doing an exact scale model of a 12" level 3 whenever I take mine out of my truck.
