Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it without at least advise from a lawyer. You could stick your neck out there and ask your superiors what the deal is. Yeah definitely see what you gain with each change. We learn more when we work that way for sure. EDIT: are you metering regualarly? What are your current numbers?

I'm not an expert and I've never metered. That being said, I would leave the box all the way back (as it is). Change the angle of the collar so that the top board hits the top of the cut out. Rather than being a tunnel like it is. That should reduce the 4th order affect, and would bounce the sound better like the flared bell at on the end of a horn. I hope you get what I'm saying. Not sure it makes sense how I said it though.
