Gotta say, I'm surprised by the reviews for this. With the experts who are designing it, I figured it would be an amazing tool, and it looks like it sure is! For someone like Ray who, from what I've seen, is an SQ expert, to have such positive comments about it, definitely makes me want this thing more! I can't wait to buy one of these! I mean it'll practically pay itself off! Hopefully it'll hit the market soon so I can get it to use on this Monte SS project I'm doing...its pretty complicated and a tool like this would be worth its weight in gold! Good job to everyone involved in designing this! So what's the price? haha I kid I kid...for real people, read THEN post. Hell I've been on this forum since the beginning and I've barely posted much at all, just for the simple fact that I read and try to learn more than anything else.

SO I bought this Eclipse AVN6600 off a guy about 6 months ago. I knew it needed a map disc, and it was missing. So I finally recently got a map disc, and once it loads, it comes up with "Call 800" and won't do anything else. I don't know who the original owner was, but I do know that it is not stolen. I've heard that Eclipse will unlock it for a fee plus shipping, but I really don't wanna go that route unless totally necessary. Can anyone help please? Feel free to PM me if its not "forum appropriate". Thank you!

Funny you said this...cuz its EXACTLY what I was thinking when I read the story/rant... I don't think it was a random hacker, because what would they have to gain from all that effort? Sounds like either a friend that wants your girl, or an ex-boyfriend who is trying (pathetically) to get his old girlfriend back. And once you find out who did all this...BEAT HIS FUCKING FACE IN. This person deserves it. I have a very small toleration for DUMB SHIT.

Its shit like this that reminds me why I'll never have roommates again. I've been screwed over more times than I can remember because I make the mistake of giving people the benefit of the doubt and being a helpful/giving person. Verbal contracts DO hold up in court especially with the right lawyer. But I'd say fuck em n just have cable for yourself, and take the tv remote with u when u leave so they cant use it at all. Yeah its a dick move, but so is agreeing to pay part of the cable bill n backing out on your word!

I could be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that the "competitor 1" and "competitor 2" batteries were practically the same thing and came from the same build house? Again, I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall reading something along those lines. I'm looking forward to the day I can afford an XS Power battery. I've ran Kinetiks and Optimas for years, and I thought the Kinetik were great compared to any previous batteries I had used. Seeing this test really makes me eager to try a XS Power battery soon. Good job on building such a high quality product.

Changing the HD is easy...usually just a few screws. And depending on what brand your laptop is, you should be able to download the factory image off of the internet and burn it to disc.

So this past weekend I was going through the garage, and I came across a box of about 8-10 JL 10W0s that are either blown or the surrounds rotted. I couldn't bring myself to throw them out, so I started looking around online for recones. I found the link below, and wanted to see what some of you who are more familiar with recones think. And how hard do you think it would be for me to do this? I've never done a recone like this (the only ones I've done you just had to glue the surround and spiders to the basket, whereas this one is completely in pieces). Heres an idea...how about you go and listen to the different sets and see what sounds best to you? Not saying anything bad about anyone in here, but what might sound good to me might not sound good to you, ya feel me? Brian, I would also like to know why you feel that way about Crescendo...I've been considering them to be a part of my rebuild.
