  1. XTA series is strong as hell, it can 0.7 ohms daily without ANYn problems
  2. Big thanks to my boy dave strongman on this project, yes, it´s LOUD as fuck, most efficient box i´ve ever built , also did a 148.7 @ 42 hz using a 1200 watts amplifier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCDN46o5d9E
  3. My DD 2512´s were taking 1280 clamped watts a piece without ANY problems
  4. what the fooockkk hahahhaha that vid was awesome!!
  5. Those subs are VERY similar to the DD 2515´s , i would do 8 cubic feet after displacement and 125 SQ of port with a 33 hz tuning, that should move some air
  6. I love burp boxes, nice job mate, tuned in for more
  7. i´m tuned in Dave, i actually was thinking about kerfing my 2 18´s wall in the explorer, should be fun
  8. You would be absolutly right if you were talking about cars with a high resonant frequency, small cabin and stuff like that, for example, a panda or a CRX, you need to build small boxes with a high tuning, even if you could change ports on the box you build and use it for daily, it´s definitely not the best thing to do since, GENERALLY SPEAKING, small boxes don´t play lows very well. Said that, definitely depends on the car and type of box, my last "burp" box using 2 12´s and 1200 watts in my explorer pulled a legal 148.7 dbs @ 42 hz , the box plays music AWESOME and it´s big as hell, close to 3 cubic feet per 12" sub What was your box tuned to? Awesome numbers BTW... You have definitely provided a ton of Number backed facts in your box thread. you gotta remeber 1 thing tho he has an exploder those are the crx's of the suv's you can get junk loud as hell in a exploder Not me, at least not yet, i honestly feel i can get WAY louder on everything i build in that whore but i have to figure some things out first well you build st8 for daily makes it a tad harder but if you ever want some help advice just pm me 3 cubes per 12 is way to much and small boxes can hit lows just as well as a big box its just harder to get them tuned that low needs lots of port length and with a small box you usally dont have the space for a long port I actually need some help, sending you a PM in a few minutes

  10. I would suggest you using a 6" aeroport, way easier to retune and it´s perfect for a pair of 8´s
  11. 500 series doesn´t need such a big ass box like other series, i haven´t played with the 515 so i dunno much about them, but i do know this, the 512´s are VERY nice for the price, i don´t doubt the 515 can get loud on a proper box, what´s the price on one of those? i´m pretty sure you can get a better sub for less money
  12. Max that thing out and play also with the "subwoofer setting" , if you get that thing to +15 it´s when you are seeing the full voltage from that HU without almost ANY distortion

Thanks a lot mate, but i can´t take all credits on that score, i got a MAJOR help from my boy dave (strongmandesigns) , he´s one of the best builders at florida, i was gonna build a similar box size but using 2 6" aeros instead of 3 aeros as he told me, man i scored WAY better than we really expected. That box was tuned to 38 hz, i still have it in the storage, i´m gonna install it in a few weeks to play around with her a little bit more. Here´s a vid of that box, it´s mostly on spanish but you can see the sensor, amplifier, subs, box and everything including the score on the TL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yva4B_9l20c

  15. too many factors to list on a topic, but i can tell you this, all the "burp boxes" in my Ford Explorer are 100% daily boxes, i love efficient boxes rather than using tons of power, that´s why i build big boxes for comps and have gotten a few good results, and better yet, they peak low (way lower than my resonant frequency) so they play music very nice, i burped a 144.1 @ 47 hz using a single pioneer 40$ sub and 1000 watts , that box played strong from 37 to around 50 hz without any problems.
  16. That´s a very interesting concept PS: Can´t believe i wasn´t subscribed to your channel before, doing it right now, very good video old friend
  17. haha that was a good vid, is it wrong that i laughed??? P.S: I´m talking about the skater video, the OP vid it´s crap and gay
  18. haha gotta love ray comments!
  19. Very nice mate, tuned in
  20. I´m not impressire by alpine´s numbers anymore, i did the first time, now i just got use to them lol, the guy is a loud mofo for sure!
  21. DD love big ass boxes, that´s for sure, but my 3518´s worked AWESOME on a 11.5 cubic feet box even with a small power area (4 6" aeros)
