I used Lanzar products TONS of time when i lived at Venezuela, i know they aren´t the most powerful or anything like that, but they get the job done for a very small amount of money, i´ve used the vibe,heritage,pro and opti lines with great success

(no pics) Sexy ass flare using 3/4" pvc strips outside and insinde of the port: Tape around the sub: And finally, metering your ugly ass box on your SUV: Score is sealed on the dash @ 47 hz, plays very nice from 40 to 50 hz, below or above those points it sounds like shit, lots of clipping on that score since i was too lazy to set the gains properly because i don´t give a fuck about that sub lol, so i just burped rolling up the volume knob of the HU and that was it, also, i bass raced a 139.4 using a song from my boy Decaf wich is constant @ 47 hz, with a couple of tweaks i´m sure i could bass race a 139.9 but i´m just lazy as hell since it was just for fun, hope you guys like it

Yeah, that´s what i love about this little device, looks like it´s fast as hell to set the gains properly, thanks a lot for your review man, if there´s an input i trust, would definitely be from you!!!

I do have access to an O-scope, a very good friend of mine owns one and i can use it whenever i want, but you know how it is, it´s way better having your own tools, i might get that DD-1 in a few weeks

N8, same side that your car does Not always you need to tune higher for comps, depends on a lot of factors, for an example, my explorer is louder tuning the boxes around 38-39 hz no matter what the box size or even amount of power you have, pretty sensitive about it

I use Soundquest in my explorer, 4 runs of them, can´t tell you if it´s OFC or not lol, i don´t remember right now actually, but my electrical holds up pretty nice, like my voy SPL Blazer said, if you ain´t looking for comps or anything, you shoudln´t see that much of a difference. I can tell you this, there was a cheaper soundquest wire, i went with the most expensive between both of them, still don´t know if it´s OFC or not lol

Depends on your goal and space available, for me, it´s impossible to wall with 4 18´s my explorer and get a good amount of port area, so i´m building a 6th order, on my friend´s almera we did port on the middle because he competes at bass race (over here we do it with driver´s door open) and that´s why he didn´t built port on driver´s side, and lastly, i built a few days ago a wall on a suzuki vitara, the guy wanted that thing for demos all day long, he wanted to get as loud as he could to passenger side, so we built port on driver´s side and man, with his door closed the passenger´s side is nasty!!! Tons of people built port on top because it´s the best sounding according to them , i haven´t test any port on top of a wall yet since i´m still a noob about walls, you should get a better input from someonelse

My pleasure man, if i were you, i would get an AQ3500.1 , that thing can give you around 4500 watts @ 1 ohm around 13v , go to their web page and check it out, best bang for the buck out there IMO...

Is it a dumb question? maybe, are you dumb for asking it?? NOT AT ALL!!! That´s why forums exist, so you can get as much help as you get before doing something wrong; About the question, boxes don´t have to be exact to the manual, depends on a lot of factors, i haven´t look at the recommended box on a manual for a few years now lol, so don´t worry about that. P.S: 2.25 and 2.225 it´s the same thing, you are not gonna harm anything, or even hear a difference between each other, so don´t worry that much mate

Not bad man, believe it or not, one of my favorite subs ever if we talk about price/performance, they can get LOUD as hell with small power and they sound pretty nice actually, i´ve worked A LOT with the champion series subs and they get loud on a proper box, ncie vid

Best input you are gonna get should be from me i´m guessing lol, i´ve seen many people using the C5 but almost no one with the C7, i used a C6 for almost a full year, and i´ve tested the C7 a couple of times on a friend´s car, the specs are on 18v iirc , i clamped 2800 watts @ 3.8 ohms dropping to 12.5v on my old C6 , it´s a beast amp for sure that can take TONSSSS of fucking abuse, mine took lots of vibrations for more than a year until it died, but that´s was the reason and nothing else. The C7 CAN TAKE 0.5 ohms daily if you have the electrical to back it up, 0.75 ohms should be safe if you have a nice batts and alt, that amplifier sounds awesome on music and can take tons of abuse, just know this, you ain´t getting 7K from that amplifier wired at 0.75 ohms with a voltage around 13v , 5K is the most you are gonna get from it if you are lucky...

so something like this What's the specs on this one same 35x50x19 port 33.5x6x29.5 I hope you have enough power to feed those subs, box is very small if you go with the measures you just gave, i would do a port 33.5 x 5.25 x 22 , that would raise your internal around 1.5 cubic feet with a 33 hz tuning, that should sound better than the smaller box with bigger port, that´s a C pillar wall????

Box specs looks very good, too bad you have to go with a L shaped port, that drops down your score a little bit but anyways, build that thing, should score and still sound very nice. If you haven´t seen my SPL gains topic at the SPL room, i suggest you to take a look at it before starting to build the box, you can take lots of good ideas from it...

I would go with a much bigger box, specially since you are wiring the amplifier to 1 ohm i´m guessing, efficiency FTW , around 4.5 c/f and 2 6" aeros should murder, or, around 70SQ of port, this of course if you have the room available in your car...

I use an Alpine 9886 HU, 4 panamenian spl records, 3 consecutive 140-149.9 bass race titles and been using the same HU for the last 2 or 3 years now without ANY problems, i guess my Alpine doesn´t "SUCK" at all, oh wait, i know what i´m doing

I personally love those w7´s , of course, is not a sub i would buy since it´s way too expensive and i know i can get way louder with other brands, but they surely can take more than 1000 clean watts for sure, just saying, as long as OP knows what he´s doing he should be fine! I remember when people said a DD 2512 couldn´t take more than 1000 watts because of the 2.5" vc , a year after getting 1500 clamped watts a piece proved they were wrong, once again, you have to know what you are doing
