never had a problem with either of my yellow tops in the truck or the red top in the boat. ive had the red top for like 4 years and the yellow tops for 2. EDIT: as of 1 hr ago i am having problem with the yellow tops not charging -

you will need an upgraded alt or 2 plus at least 3 or 4 good batteries to even run 5000-6000watts with your Tahoe running. and i don't even know if you can run 5000-6000 watts for that amount of time on just battery power, but if you can, you will need A lot more batteries.
