Would like to see what the results with your primary battery and a large AGM battery like a XS 3100 ran without a capacitor. This would be a similar set up like a lot of us members would run and see what the numbers would be. Also, stock alt?

Any sales coming up?
matt14 replied to dhall9's topic in Second Skin Sound Deadening and Automotive Insulation!
I think they do sales around holiday times. I got my deadner last year around 4th of july. I would wait and see, sometimes the price is better with discount then free shipping -

B-Stock Damplifier?
matt14 replied to Carbon's topic in Second Skin Sound Deadening and Automotive Insulation!
I ran damp b-stock in my yukon. Sealed all 4 doors ( and some on outer skin ) on the inner and outer of my hatch, and also double on some areas of the roof and love it -
Is My S1200 Dead?
matt14 replied to OrionStang's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
You sure you dont have a drain when car is off? It doesnt have to be the aftermarket equipment you installed. It could be something factory, or even something as easy as a glove box light staying on -
I think that it states in the manual or in steves videos that not all RCA's will fit. Mine do not fit, and thats why he says that you can just go through the amp to find max volume.

DD-1 question *Vids included
matt14 replied to sierra mist's topic in SMD Distortion Detector (DD-1) Topics
Go back to your sub menu and turn the filter all the way up. The EQ should be seperate and turn that to flat. Also i looked at your headunit on sonic and it states you also have a high pass. Turn that all the way up or down ( cant remember, but just read the manual from the DD1 and it will tell you) bass boost off on the deck. You may have to turn your sub level all the way up on the deck. Make sure you dont have a volume level for the ipod. If you do, turn that down. -

Yea, I would double check with the 1khz 0db tone on your full range to start eliminating things. You had said you can use the RCA's, so use those to check max volume. You need to check the head unit output with both the 40 and 1khz 0db tones. Also is there a level volume for your ipod in the head unit settings? Turn that off as well or all the way down. -

Turn that all the way up. . Have you tried the 1khz to see if it does the same on that track. If you can, use the RCA's to check head unit max volume with the 0db tone. It seems to be something with your head unit. Whats the equipment you are running -

Where is your bass eq set? I would turn it off. Also the sub level on the HU, where do you have that set? -

What kind of amp are you running? Is there a low/high input level switch for it?
