I have a 06 yukon ( same as your esky) and have a d3400 on the passenger side using a factory tray and hold down. Its a pretty tight fit already and almost sure a 3100 will not fit.

Trust me, i dont go past battery voltage or i turn it down, normally 12.6 volts. I played music for maybe 5-10 sec and seen the 11.1 and backed it off quick. I knew i didnt have the electrical, and confirmed it with that. But I knew the risk of trying it. Its going to be hard to go to 1.4 since I heard the potential, but I'll try something new next year.

What are you using to read the voltage? I went and installed another 18 the other night and thought about it for a while and decided to wire to 0.35 ( knowing that i dont have the electrical, but you wont know till you try it ). I went around the corner and played full tilt. Stinger meter read 13.4v at full tilt, measured with my multimeter at the same time = 11.1v full tilt! So now i dont play my music at all until i can get my boy to come through and help me pull this sub back out and wire to 1.4.

I noticed that the butyl is thin on some areas of the deadner, or the butyl does not go all the way out to the end of the sheet. But I noticed a big differance when I installed it, especally in the sound of the mids/highs. With the cost, i would go with it again.

To be honest, Car fax doesnt really tell you much. A car that i bought had a clean carfax, but the owner told me that the car had been in a accident. When i sold my wifes car, I ran a carfax and it came back clean. Well, we owned that car since it was brand new and it has had a insurance claim for a cracked transmission case ( she ran over something on the freeway). So, like i said doesnt really tell you much.
