  1. B2 M1I'm surprised by how many people are surprised by the results. Lol. I'd believe his statements. TFade is hardly a noob or a bullshitter. I think because of the initial gut shots, people were (I guess are) still skeptical. It was a little disappointing when Trippy's flatline amps were clamped so people kind of shrugged them off. I like new companies being injected into the community, whether or not they deserve to stay is to be seen. I love my AQ20s but might be willing to try some of these beauties. But now we're off topic. Let's clamp/dyno some 8k+ amps and figure watt per dollar!
  2. I don't understand what you mean by specifics. One is built to have more reserve and as such isn't intended for primary purposes. It's also not suited for high temperatures. The others will, or should, have a lower internal resistance and give more power instantaneously and charge faster. A better way of looking at it would be looking at your charging and amperage and then budget. I still don't know how specific you're wanting an answer. Material make up, how much plastic, what lead, how many plates? Because if so, I don't think you'll get them short of cutting them up yourself.
  3. If he's such an avid member of DIYMA, I don't know why he didn't post in the sonic section there...
  4. Wait...you're complaining about products and it's not even a week yet?
  5. People are educated now but still use roofing products, lol. The bigger issue I see is getting people to care about a true and accurate way of measuring power.
  6. I don't think that's the case at all and I think your guys' analogy is a little off. His point is simply until there is a cost effective way of doing it, people won't care. Its why eBay alternator sales are still up and people use peel and seal. The sad truth is factual information has little to do with your average audio consumer. Hopefully enough of these make their way out so people can get dyno'd but most aren't going to shell out the money when 1 + 1 = 5 works for them, regardless of its inaccuracies. He's simply pointing out human nature, not advising against the amp dyno.
  7. Brands don't matter, battery type will be a more important factor to look at. Size of the battery matters little when wired correctly. If I have time I can post why later tonight and how current is drawn with multiple batteries
  8. You're in the valley, right? You should let me take some sexy pictures
  9. That just has me curious where that power is going ...
  10. I know, reading is so hard. Maybe next time don't try circumventing the rules. I mean, it was pretty obvious to anyone with a brain.
  11. If you have opposing sides of the car vibrating at different frequencies, you're creating different soundwaves constantly trying to overcome each other. The resulting sound waves left over are called residual sound and would most likely be lopsided which would probably result in a bad sounding system. Sometimes, the clash of fighting soundwaves creates the static sound most confuse for distortion.
  12. You can't actually, especially if the sizes in thickness are different. You experience super levels of sound cancellation.
  13. Alvi, seriously...you fail. Please stop. You obviously have no idea what rule they were talking about (as farfetched as it was), literally have nothing to add, and I'm sorry more posts couldn't be littered with misconceptions like: size of subwoofer does not dictate frequency response and body flex is not an indication of loud or performance.
  14. I know. I'm being general. Asking his loud a sub is pretty open ended with so many factors. Plus, to talk about a sub and the way it sounds to someone who's never heard it is like describing a color you've never seen. Besides a couple posts, I unfortunately don't see too much productive information coming from the questions posed. I liked the E8 sub, especially for the cost. I wanted like 32 in a clam but who knows.
  15. That's a stupid question anyways. Loud is subjective, enclosure is a factor, and acoustics are a bitch. Done and done.
