The soundstream are way bad if not at 18V At the finals ya XS spl jeffery set a new world record in ss 1-2NW with their amp at 18V But another competitor had 4 XXX 6500 a DC battery (the $$$ one) 2 12" DD 9500G and was not able to even qualify for world finals!! I would not get those amps unless your going to do the 17 volts.... I researched it hundreds of times...move onto something else!!
-
almost all amps that will fuction up to 18V are sure to make more power unless they are regulated right?
-
higher voltage is better for noise reduction ???
-
I would guess the lower the gains the less harder the amp works. Thus making it last longer....

I don't cause it more of a pain in the ass, you asked thats the truth..... Does Ups do it cause when I have to go to the post office and wait while all these forigners buy money orders and ship them back to their home countries it takes for ever!! Don't they have car audio in Canada for sale?

Portable Hard Drive ?....

Only reason I stuck with kenwood was it's Music Keg It's a lap top HD in a cartridge... They came with 10 gig I swapped to a 80 gig. I have about 40 gigs on it and it's hard to manage so much damn music!! The x891 kenwood has a USB port and it's claim is I can connect usb drives and play mp3's off them.... That x891 flipped out at finals not reading the DB Jams CD (but it worked fine next day) so for competiton it's gona be Alpine (can't use HD in the lanes anywwayS). -
Sneek Peek Of Lv5 Motor!
sactownstang replied to WCA Rusty's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Hmmm wow and I just got the lvl 4, have to off these(lvl4) to get a set of those(lvl5) in 15" for the CRX!! holla when u got them ready!!! -
Unless your going competiton or 16v. I'd pass. They will put a lot of power out thats for sure.... Reliability and daily driver wise I would pick a RF. I mean they take it hard and keep playing. Very reliable and 2 yr warranty u can't beat it. They stand behind their products. I seen maxxsonics wait over a month on a fellow competitor and nothing on a repair of a herc XX amp. This guy went to finals and had 1 amp. Granted he still whipped my ass and everyone elses with just 1 but hey RF usually have it back to you in 2 weeks.

Looks like a steve meade nation!! a menace at the db drag finals......

update 7:42 Pm all amps on 12" trf will atleast place us somewhere in top 4. Need to mount last amp install ports then start cleanup. got it setup for a 16v battery and a quick swap when we arrive... I gurantee you this there will be no one there with 2 12's that will be louder (thats if it all works)
-
now when I burp the turn on lead loses voltage shuts amps off.... No time to install 15's looks like will be RF TRF 12 1st place out te window but still hope to have a good time... Going to by pass turn on make it "ON"
