Your amp is 2 ohm stable. So you need to switch the subs to 4 ohms and wire them in parallel for a final impedence of 2 ohms.

It doesnt hurt to try inverting them. Inverting them only helps if your box didnt have enough cubic feet to start with. Inverting them gives the subs the space they desired in the first place.

Inverting two 15's will gain you around .3 cubic feet. And every car is different. So some ways are louder. Have you actually had each way metered? Because the "ear meter" often fails you.
