  1. Depends on your shop...I know tons of shops who can rewind and do fine work. Theres one problem though...a rewound stock alt most of the time still cant get near the output a high quality HO alt can. I would never suggest a rewind over a high output unless you have no cash to get a HO and its your only option. Even then I dont think its worth the money in most situations.
  2. Perfect. Shit actually explodes. Probably the best trick ive seen haha. Better than a CD by far.
  3. 3/4 will be fine. I would do double baffle and maybe allthread or something for good bracing. Theres really no reason to need over 3/4" mdf unless your doing a stupid build of 8+ subs imo.
  4. I've got about $100 worth of hats and shirts in my cart...to buy them or not...rusty if your signing them I will.
  5. You can call dc or pm dwright, cj18, chode98, or thorshammer for pricing. Hope I'm not missing anyone.
  6. This is why they have an application where you can actualy have a conversation with people at long distances on your texting machine...I would have called her instead of driving recklessly with a buzzed mother behind me because there's a lot of definitions for 'wreck'.
  7. Yeah I'm looking off eventually running them off a jbl m8 or audison bitone. Was gonna grab a aq 90 but I want to give them atleast 125 per side and have as much sq as I can get along with the ability to crank the volume, so I decided on the Zuki eleets 4 channel, that's been clocked at nearly 200 per channel. Should be able to run both sides perfectly once I get a scope to set the gains. Thanks for your help guys.
  8. So I have an older set of hsk165 components and am about to order a new set. I was curious, for those who have run these before, how much power do these thugs like? Ima be running a new and old set in each door and have read these things like power. They are rated for 125 but ive read 150ish is a sweet spot. Any suggestions on this? Also, hertz suggests a pillar mounting for the tweets. Would this be the best place, or should I mount them like I've read within 12" of the mids? (would mount them in the same pods as the mids). Thanks, Tonedeaf
  9. As korey said, your insulation has probably rubbed off somewhere and is grounding your power somewhere. This = very bad and could cause a fire. Remove the power wire and replace it, check it for any slits to where it could have been touching the metal.
  10. which is why you missed it's for head phones
  11. I like how many experts there are here. Logically thinking if he were just doing a 'time delay' for all notes like someone said, it would have to be used for a set studio. There are too many variables to say 'we delayed te notes, tah dah, 3D sound' because each application the speakers would be a different distance away, or pointing in different directions, etc. Without a proper install, I.e. a studio, it wouldn't be possible. Maybe with a new kind of speaker system or something, but with your normal speaker, aiming and time alignment would be necessary to get this kind of result. That being said you can also tell well recorded music vs music with shotty recording. Everything I said was using logic from the comments I read...I haven't watched the video yet mind you because I'm at work. I'll watch it soon.
  12. Suprising the tiny cutoff there...11" is tiny...my civic's 16&1/4" opening. 15 sealed from the trunk ftw? Gotta ask though...you miss the wall?
  13. Driver side port sealed forward is normally the way to go for numbers. Builds up more pressure at the mic with port on the driver.
  14. This. I always thought the L7s sounded like shit. Every install I heard them in they almost sounded muddy to me.
  15. 4th order all day son. :good:
  16. Funny. This is why I have a friend who can find your credit card information on pretty much any site youve bought something from, especially the shady ones. Insecure link on a website = your fucked. Or just download this harmless email. Its not going to give me your ip or anything and im certainly not going to have a backdoor rat attached.
  17. I like the $10 ebay ones that have no brand name on it personally. But cant find one on ebay. That one looks like the best one available. I like the black one though.
  18. Just now seeing this thread. From what ive heard about the SPL tiles, they were a very good product that everyone loved. I plan on having atleast 3 layers on my doors and have a shop pack of deadener in my basement as we speak to load my car with anytime soon and I was planning on buying even more very soon. If this product were to come out, being able to buy several packs of this vs another shop pack would be wonderful. Now just give me some free MLV LL pro and im ready to place my order.
  19. The AR-15 wasnt really anything special to me. Never shot the ACR but ive held one and it just feels right. If I had the coin id save up for the ACR over the 15. That being said I haven't looked at prices recently.
  20. All the dumb rednecks have the AR-15 and think theyre cool n8. Be different and get the ACR. You know you want to. :clapping:
  21. 'Now thats what the fuck were talking about.' <3 his English. ACR ftmfw. 'Oh its so awesome on CoD I use it all the time but I like the shotgun moar.'
  22. 1&1/4" wood screws normally work fine in 3/4 MDF. Predrill prior to screwing. (thats what she said) I have used liquid nails several times. Just make sure to let it cure/dry COMPLETELY before you fire your subs up. (Atleast let it sit overnight, if not for a day or two).
  23. Meh, looks alright. My great uncle has a 67 GTO prestine condition. 60k miles, 4 on the floor, black with white leather interior, factory AC. Fucking gorgeous. My grandfather has a 71 chevelle candy apple red. Needless to say I have a hitman ready to take them both out and to take their cars.
