I have an E8 in a t-line with the sub and port on opposite sides of the front and it wangs. Are you saying that if the sub were closer to the port it would be louder?
Yep. How much of a difference it makes is all in the room/car you have it in. But from what i have noticed the bigger the area the more it matters.

It has to do with how the waves meet up. Its just like on ported boxes with multiple subs you want to keep them as close to each other as posible.

Make a spl type box, make Your own round port, i would make the baffle 10layers thick and make it horn out. Know what i mean? Lol

Solid works is a pretty expensive program thats why i asked. Its fun building stuff then checking what kind of loads it can bare and stuff.
