  1. He had 4 AQ3500D.1s and then went to 8 AQ3500D.1s I would recommend 5 cubes per for the 15s and 6 cubes per for the 18s, I have done 160s outlaw just off 4 AQ 15s and 2 AQ3500D.1s, my wall is around 20 cubes net.

  3. Lowest working voltage is 9.5 then it will protect or blow. Lowest I would go is 10.5 on a burp, on daily I would try to stay above 12.0, but with the electrical you mentioned it should stay at or above 12.9-13.0 volts no problem. And that amp can safely run daily as high as 16.8, your batts at safe up to 15.0 so everything looks great. And YES I have daily this amp at .5 ohm and lower, actually down to .25 ohm. Even the AQ demo scion with the two hdc4 12s, off one aq3500d.1, they run it at .25 ohm daily.
  4. If you "over" heat any sealed battery, they "will" expand and potential swell if they don't squeal like a pig first. So heat can make them do this, I had one of mine do it actually but XS took care of it with a replacement battery I just had to cover shipping.
  5. LOL how should I know? That is a loaded question there lol.
  6. They will to some extent, depends on enclosure design and tuning.
  7. anything with 8k+ worth of power is going to slam, you could do a bunch of 8s and it would slam.
  8. I was thinking about this the other day, all the names we come up with for SPL vehicles and quotes/slogans/nicknames for car audio related stuff. What you got? Here is a few of my favorites "Hit em til it Hertz" "I have a big set....of woofers"
  9. Jl audio and you will never have to replace again. Just get there high end blue jacketed ones and not the clear cheapys.
  10. This, just letting him know there is a fairly cheap option to upgrade the alt and it will solve his issues now, but if he plans to upgrade further in the future then he will need an HO alt.
  11. No junk yard alt out of a newer model suburban would because on all the flex fuel 5.3s they came with 145 amp alternator and I know for a fact they did in 03 and it will fit your truck with zero modifying.
  12. get an alt out of a 2003 suburban with flex fuel package, they are around $100 at a junk yard. Install that plus big 3 and your issue will be completely gone.
  13. i dont think i will ever try playing with my vehicle off its just asking for something bad to happen and i aint that ballzy When you got the money you get darning, I thought about it and was like, it should be okay, ahhh fuck it, lets see lol. Kinda like when I ran at midwest finals, I told AQ rep I am going to blow my subs, you got me, he said yup, and I couldn't blow them, 3 minutes of solid hard clipping and still good lol.
  14. My pics wouldn't help you cuz I have a Quad alt kit in the truck, I only ran 1 alt for about a month or two since I have had my wall which is over a year now.
  15. I can maintain 12.8 with my truck off and playing full tilt with 8k worth of amps. Done it several times at worlds and midwest finals.
  16. Is one big port better then two smaller ports where either or equal the same port area? The one port is always better because you have alot less turbulence and port loses. Port driver side for best numbers, port middle for best daily, and port top for best of both.
