  1. very agressive driver, street racers, and people who were dancing in the crosswalk when they didnt even have the walk sign. This has possibly been the most exciting 5 minute drive ever

  2. Well geeze, this is quite the giveaway Thanks Sonic&Image Dynamics!!!
  3. Needs more everything. More box, more port, more bracing, don't forget to factor in driver displacement too.
  4. Pretty much what you are doing is setting the amp to give you a specific amount of power. In your case: 125 watts. More accurate than guessing on the gain since your amp puts out more power than the speakers can handle. The dd-1 is there simply to make sure there are no other artifacts in the output signal.
  5. Where are you getting 14.4 from? 125w=v2/2.7ohms 125*2.7=v2 337.5=v2 v=18.4v So now hook up your dd-1 and a vol meter to the output on your amp, play 1kHz -5db and adjust your gain so your amp puts out 18.4vac, making sure that the dd-1 doesn't indicate distortion.
  6. Dial the amp down to run rms power. Mids and highs will burn up really fast once they start to stink Ohms law: power = v2/r where v is ac voltage, and r is the resistance
  7. What happens if you turn the subs off/down all the way?
  8. Go knock some heads!
  9. Who wants to hear my latest bass edit :D

  10. Yeah... It sounds like drained batteries for sure. Double check connections too, just to make sure. And do the big 3. It's a safety thing: the stock wiring was never designed to handle this type of load. Especially with an aftermarket alternator
  11. Yeah, but I didn't see the manual mention that. Although I may have missed it. /confusedface
  12. If the box isn't together yet, cut your losses and go get some 3/4
  13. Bass editing a different kind of song. It will either be epic or awful. We'll see how it turns out :D

Doesn't help that I'm tone deaf haha

  14. I didn't drop that low car off on the stock battery running more power than him. My money is on the batteries being discharged or loose connection. purplehaiz: Have you done the 'big 3'? I'm not sure how much power that amp draws / puts out. But I can guarantee it is more than the stock alt can handle.
  15. Welcome to the forum! Do you have a clamp meter? See how much power you are putting out from the alt if you can I would bet your batteries are drained. That amp on the stock alt - the batteries are going to get discharged. Turn the car off, let it sit for an hour or so, then measure the voltage with a DMM and post back. Do you have a battery charger? Welcome to the forum!
  16. 0db for head unit and any other signal processors -5db if you want it clean. -10db if you have common sense to turn it down a bit on loud bass songs or if it smells. This is not for bass boosted tracks. -15db if you don't listen to rap or any bass heavy music. Pretty much it's for rock/metal etc. Or you can do it anyway if you are crazy I would also suggest setting your 4 channel if you have one with the -5 or -0 tone. Nothing else. Clipped mids and highs sound like ass
  17. About at my wits end with all the shitty mechanic shops in my area...

  18. Hmm that's interesting.. My HIDs have a 15a fuse for the pair, while the stock bulbs have a 10a fuse each. Fail hahahaha
  19. Someone care to provide cliff's notes for what happens in the video and clarify what this could be used for? No audio at this computer
  20. Congratulations to the winners! And thanks Steve for hosting this
