If you're going to spend that much on a laptop, get a really high end Dell or a Apple Macbook Pro. My Macbook Pro weighs about 3 pounds, and it can run laps around that laptop. Sure, that Toshiba has a 4.1 speaker system and TV tuner, but when are you honestly going to use that for school? You're better off spending your money somewhere else

Or bypass the factory amp. On my Explorer (It's a 96 XLT, but they're basically the same vehicle), when I wired my Pioneer into it, I had an extra wire on my adapter that plugged into the factory wiring, it was the turn-on lead for the factory amp. Just wire it into a ignition hot lead. Then down the road when I installed my amp, my dad ended up making a bypass for the factory amp for me. Just find the connectors that go into the factory amp for the pre-amp and post-amp side, wire them together and plug them into the wiring for the car. Also, please don't ask where we got the wiring to do the amp bypass. My dad works for Ford, and he got it from somewhere
