Thank you sir!!! Since this is the last time I'll be using this Kicker equipment in my car, I wanted to see what she really had. And honestly I'm impressed. I didn't think it was capable of hitting those lows and sounding half-way decent doing it. Actually, this is the best I have ever heard any Kicker sub sound. It just goes to show how much of a difference having the right box makes. I have some vids of the same 3 subs, only 2 are running off the ZX1000 and the other was running off an Audiobahn in a separate box, and there was no comparison. They are way louder now and sound way better on LESS power! I'll see if I can dig up some of those vids to show you all what I mean.

Thanks man. I'm gonna be glassing and painting the box this week to match my dash, black night metallic. The amp atm is a 2010 Kicker ZX1000.1 @2.25ohm (up from 1.34ohm) And I just added this to the first post, but this box is 7.5ft^3 and tuned @33hz just in case anyone was wondering!

Wow, sorry to have offended anyone... But IMO a $160 sub is cheap, when compared to the $400 - $900 ones that I would consider not to be cheap... Anyway I just thought someone might like to see these videos. Didn't bean to butt-hurt anybody.

This X 10 Also, check out my box build. I used 3 coats of resin inside the box, then I sanded it all baby butt smooth. May have helped, mat not. But I believe it did. Also, DON"T use bondo brand resin!!! Go to Lows or Home Depot and get some bettter stuff for the same price or cheaper. The biggest difference I noticed was the bondo took two days to fully cure. The good stuff(3M from Lows) took two hours.

My Torres' will not let my save or copy. Each time I try it erases and closes. I've tried deleting it and reinstalling it 3 times to no avail. At one point it gave me a gross volume of 10.745ft3 after putting in 38"h-45"w-21"d. The port would change also my inside measurements are 4"h-43.5"w. To 45"w on the cut sheet. When I wrote the book I tried to write everything down just like it was on the calculator. If that helps any I'm hoping this explains it a little better cause I know I don't explain things very well. You have to use the "snipping tool" to take a picture, or screen shot of the Torres. Then just upload it like any other pic!

Can you upload a snapshot of your Torres? I'd like to see what all you are filling in.

X 2 The box I am building now is tuned @33hz, and I'm afraid it may be a little bit too low. It really depends on what brand of subs, not just what size. Hope this helps

Thanks man, those are both good options! I'm just wondering what kind of power my DC5K will put out @3 ohm? Cause with these subs, I can wire down to 1.34ohm or up to 3ohms. Hmmm, see I'm really just building this box to help sell the subs, and to make sure I can design and build good enough too. So, if I could save some money, hmmm what to do?
