  1. ok ... benefits of running 2 2-channel amps would be for a 2 way active setup ... smaller amp on the highs (tweeters) and larger amp on the midbass drivers ... or 2 identical amps for each passive component set ... this mainly depends on how you want to set this up ... My question would be why you think you need 2 component sets up front ??
  2. Why would you have to test you headunit's output ?? You should be only setting amp gains with the distortion detector ... Correct ?? Do you actually have your eq settings boosted up high enough for this to be a problem ?? Are you setting up for mids and highs ... Or sub bass ???
  3. install them and give us a review ...
  4. Yes ... should be no problem ... reset your EQ and test again for distortion and reset your gains accordingly ... remember ... your amp gains are not a volume control ... you do not have to jack them up to make power ... My SQ vehicle runs on 0 amp gain ... all day every day ...
  5. Best of luck with your vehicle search Sir ...
  6. My suggestion would be to get a vehicle (something we can go by and recommend you the correct fitting products) ... then get back to us ... If we give you a suggestion on audio products that don't fit your vehicle ... this might be a problem ...
  7. are you looking for a vehicle too ??
  8. What type of vehicle are we working with here ???
  9. I am a Sound Quality guy ... Not a SPL Guy ... So if you feel like you can help this guy out better ... please, jump in ...
  10. What kind of truck we talking about here ???
  11. port(s) up and sub(s) forward ... for daily ... sub(s) forward (right / passenger side) and port forward (left / driver side) for higher Spl competition ...
  12. I have a Linear Power PA2 AudioPath Enhancer for sale for 350.00 ... but you will need a crossover for your sub stage ... I know this is over your budget ... but TOTAL control of your system ... here is the link to specs ... http://www.linearpower.com/detail/pa2.html
  13. You could face them any way you want ... it's not going to make a difference either way ... The seat literally coushins the frequency response ... hence muffling the sound pressure ... The enclosure mounted to the body makes your pressure, body flex, etc ... plus, that enclosure will become a deadly weapon in the event of a accident ...
  14. Please do not put a sub enclosure on a back seat ... This is so wrong in so many ways ... Please, Please, Please ... Take out the back seat and mount the enclosure to the truck ...
