  1. I'm faster than a speedin' bullet when I'm on the set I don't need no fans to cool my amps, I just use my super breath! Then I turned my power on and the ground began to move and all the buildings for miles around were swayin to the groove.

  2. The dd-1+ has the same circuitry to handle the larger amps such as the dd-1 HV (high volt), along with a more advanced gain overlap setting instead of just using 3 specific tracks like the dd-1. Both the dd-1+ and dd-1HV are good up to 40,000 watts @ 1ohm. The normal dd-1 would be fine, and is good up to 15,000 watts @ 1ohm. Is the dd-1+ overkill for your system? Simple answer is no, if it was that means the normal dd-1 would be overkill too. The dd-1+ just has more features and you dont got to change tracks which is quicker than running back and fourth when tuning amps, and has a cool little lcd display. Cant really go wrong with either of them. All depends on what you want to spend.
  3. Glad to see Rickteg was good enough to come on the SMD forums when he needs a handout, but yet this site is trashed non stop on his joke of a forums. gtfo!

  4. Got home decided to put the RCAs in since it was 40 and not raining for once. Went inside took a dump, put on my work cloths and stepped outside and it started to rain. Came in watched some Family Guy then noticed the sun was out. I went back out got the RCAs ran under the dash and to the radio, but it got cold out quick. wtf!

  5. Some of the best deadener Ive use and I used a lot. One of the things Ive noticed with the others Ive used is its all the same from the same factory with different logos on it and drastic differences in price. But none of those other brands have that rigid aluminum can like foil, thats where you gain a lot of performance with the Second Skin compared to the others. Really could use some bulk packs or some 40 pounders for my truck one of these years.

  7. You still having this issue? I know sometimes when I post the loading bar does the same thing but the page never refreshes. Typically from what I noticed is when someone else replies to the same topic before you do and the page has not refreshed since you first clicked on it. Normally if I type out something long I will copy it all just in case then refresh the page and see if my post posted or not which it typically does but the page never refreshes to show my post.
  8. I dont know about anyone else, but me personally love to see the behind the scenes type stuff. Woofers being built, prototypes or other new products that are undergoing testing.

  10. Just talked to Steve, he said this offer is still going on!! To qualify for the discount you need to email Antheny at [email protected] and tell him you want the VM-1 trade in offer.
  11. 4.25 ft^3 with 68 in^2 of port tuned to 32hz is what Sundown recommends. So yea anywhere in that ballpark should be decent for the X-15.
  12. OP, are you looking at the new version SA series or the old? Since your going to be potentially over powering the woofers in both cases (2 12s or 1 15s), Id suggest going with the X-15. It has a 3 inch coil and could handle abuse a little better. Of coarse the 12s will have slightly more cone area, however the X series has a we bit more excursion which also comes into play with cone area. In a proper box the X-15 should do anything and everything a pair of 12s can do and do it better.
  13. Sucks I cant have my post count stay at 1,337 although I figured I can make them stay at 8,388,607 no matter how many replies I make. LOL

yo... i just offered a solution to your problem

  14. Nope, your doing it right. Thats just how it goes.... Thiele Small parameters are usually done on 1 woofer in each size for said model number. Its highly unlikely to see every woofer have its own TSPs ran unless your getting in to stupid expensive high end home audio where you spend $1,500.00+ on a RCA cable.. Usually most companies will test a woofer once it is considered to be "broken in" and have a softer suspension. A woofer with a loose suspension should have a lower FS than a new woofer of the same model that never seen power. Multiple things can change TSP's, especially FS. Something as simple as less glue being used when the woofer was built will weigh less and make the woofer have a lighter moving mass which there for can increase the woofers FS. Its also common for some manufactures to change parts slightly here and there through out the run and the part change wont be drastic enough to call it a revise version, but will alter the woofers performance a tad.
  15. right... I jumped in a few times, and never really hung around, now that the maps look like maps it maybe doable now!
