DC EVERTHANG
audiofanaticz replied to Swaggasaur's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Must say props to Ford for that! Everyone trying to outsell another person for the same nut is stupid, and is not a professional way to rep a company or make your sales. What ends up happening then is the customer usually playing the reps for the best price and then saying Im buying from this guy cuz his price is cheaper and saying FU to his local dealer/rep that is 5 minutes from his house that is there to help with real time tech support/install needs. This is the main reason that Digital Designs does not allow us dealers to sell online, give quotes, or ship product to a customer in another area. Sure either way the same nut is being sold (dont matter if its DD, DC, Sundown, Fi, AA) but someones toes are being stepped on by another rep of the company to make a sale which immediately hurts the dealer/rep in that persons area, and even possible the company when some people find out that other people got the same product for $100s cheaper. -

Heh... I just ordered 4 sets of hids on the 31st. I am curious to see if the other rumor about their hids being true. So I got 4 different kits, some 35w ballasts, some 55watts, some 8k bulbs, some 6k bulbs. They already took the money out of my acocunt, and order should be shipped or soon shipped Id assume according to their shipment thing on the right column of their site which I really dont understand. Dog eating issues
audiofanaticz replied to Forevrbumpn's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
Sounds like somebody needs to call the Dog Whisperer! But I know the compulsive eating and then crapping it out and eating its crap is due to the dog being raised via a puppy mill, and most likely taken away from its mother too early. -
Three-Way Switch
audiofanaticz replied to LZTYBRN's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Wow I so thought BigBalla was twistedchild420 since he stole twisteds avatar...... 15 amp should be fine!! led's are low power compaired to other lights, and neons. If the case would ever happen to have enough led's to overload 15amp circuit all that would need to be done is have the switch turn a relay on/off which draws power directly from a battery source. But you wont have no problems with a 15amp switch. -
Three-Way Switch
audiofanaticz replied to LZTYBRN's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
You can probably get 3 way switchs at any local ace store, home depot, lowes, autozone, advance autoparts, etc. And you probably have a choice of traditional toggle 3ways. like this Or rocker 3ways. like this Im sure some will come lighted or not lighted, and maybe different switch covers. for wiring them, they should have directions on the back, but it is very simular to home electriacl, just different ac current instead of dc current like in a car. You will have a jumper wire going from switch 1 to switch 2. then your pos and negs. http://www.homeimprovementweb.com/information/how-to/three-way-switch.htm something for you to get an idea. Id search for a better artical but i got to get to bed, sleeping pill is telling me to hurry up. LOL -
Three-Way Switch
audiofanaticz replied to LZTYBRN's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Get a 3 way switch You could do it with regular toggles like Twisted said, but the problem you run into then is you have to turn the lights off using the same switch you turned them on with. A 3 way switch will allow you to turn them on at location 1, but turn them off at location 2, or vice versa. -
There is an outrageous number of forums now days. Too many in my opinion. So I really been wondering what every ones favorite forums are that they visit on a regular basis? I think some of the answers could be interesting to see! Im going to post this on a few sites in the off topic forums, so If theres a site that I dont visit and you do go ahead and post this up! This maybe a way for some to find out other great sites, meet new friends, and broaden your knowledge of this hobby. Lets keep this topic clean!! Copy/paste my questions in your post when replying. No one post crap like "I cant stand that guys site because he is a douche". No singling out individual users of said sites if you dont like them. This is not a method to bash sites or members of sites you do not like. I dont want to see people quoting someone elses response and saying "x2", or any replies that have nothing to do with this thread. Website name/link: Your likes: Your dislikes: What keeps you coming back: What does the site offer you the user: How can the site improve:

So then how do you know your boss didnt set your amp settings wrong, to try and prove the amp wrong and say TOLD YOU SO? Subsonic filter is a filter that eliminates the low notes comming out of the amp. If you turn this all the way to clockwise, there will be no bass below 60hz. For testing purposes do these things. Turn all your dials counterclock wise (to the left) on the amplifier. For your GAIN, turn it clockwise, about 1/4th the way up. For your SUBSONIC turn it clockwise, about 1/3 the way up. For your LPF turn it clocwise, about 1/2 the way up. For your BASSBOOST, leave it turned all the way down at 0 which is counter clockwise. Bassboost is not needed. For your PHASE, leave it turned all the way down at 0, again this is also not needed unless you are using multiple woofers with multiple woofer amps. With these settings your amp should make some serious banging with a 5volt output on your eclipse headunit. By no means are these the perfect settings, but they should be close to what you need with a few minor tweeks here and there!
