It depending on the wire your using to make them. It be nice to have your own rca's made exactly to what you need, and not a lot extra laying someplace. I had a guy from this site make me some. Think I paid around 125$ or so for four sets of 20 foots, and 1 3 foot cable for strapping amps. The cables where double shielded, and double wired loomed, used some nice rca 5.0 connectors. Looks Id rate a 10! Performance Id give him a -10! (since I fried amps due to the users soldering skills and the center pin grounded out on the inside of the rca due to wire being stripped to far, not twisted and then soldered with little stray wires touching where ever, and about a $600 repair bill... I ended up tearing the cables down and having to resolder them except for 1 cable and that one looked like it was done nice, and the center pin wire was heatshrinked. So Im guessing he ran low on supplies, cut corners, and rushed to get them out the door to meh. I would of totally understood if he was behind and needed more money for supplies (i would of paypaled) some more, but oh well.

I had a simular set i messed with, but they where pyramid (same specs, proboly just relabled). They where loud (very loud) Ear bleeding loud! They also didnt care for anymore then 70watts rms, toasted them around 85w rms.

As I am still wondering.. How is this stimulas going to help those that have lost their job due to this econemy. Only those fortunate enough to be working for a company that didnt go under are the only ones seeing this, while the other ruffly 10+% get spit at in their face. I will say that the first stimulas was much better oriented where you had to make between such and such amount of money the previous year and filed taxes to be eligible for it. From what I read, this is bush's 2nd stimulas only he was not in office to see it passed, but he is the one who started it and got the ball rolling.

So wrong..... A bigger alt will lower your horsepower even more then a smaller alt.. And you may want to goto the races and get a pit pass, almost every race car (not some honda with a big muffler and cold air intake that has never seen the track) does not run an alternator do to the extra loss of hp from having to spin the alternator. And almost every car in the pit will have a charger hooked up to it in between runs to keep their batteries full. edit: im sure the circle jerk racers that drive in circles non stop have alts, but going around in a circle 200 times isnt racing to me.

inside of box and port After showing him how figure out cutout diameter and how to make your own homemade cumpus to draw your cutout lines for the subs I had him cut the holes with a nice jigsaw that wasnt all full of rattles and not all bent up. (i was going to router the rings out, but he dont have a router yet, so it wouldnt of benifited him much). But he took his time, and got nice round circles and followed the line good!! My buddy got 2 older alpine type r 12s for free, with a box. The box was too big for the trunk so its been in his back seat. The current box he was using was a 5.2 cubed SEALED box made from 1/2 inch or less osb board... I hooked up my americanbass 150.1 on his subs a few days ago, and the subs just where unloading like a champ, once i measured the box out, i quickly noticed it was big enough for 5 type r 12s sealed... So I got him to buy a sheet of wood and helped him build a box with mdf. This is his first mdf box, he said he normally uses any scrap wood to put boxes together, sometimes 3-4 different types of wood on one box... I showed him a few things like how to resin, make kerf cuts, how to measure od and id, figure out box volume, and tuning. All the basics. Before he was the type to just build a box, and not be concerned on its size. He also said "any time i need to cut a straight line I get out my jig saw close one eye, and try to hold it straight" I laughed so hard. I also bought a new circular saw when i was at home depot. needless to say, the guy at home depot said my makita 18volt lithium ion batteries would work with it, but once i got it to my buddies and out of the box, they wouldnt fit. I knew it didnt come with a battery and intended to use the 2 i had for my impact and drill, but nope. A battery for it is almost $100!! but yet it will work with my turbo charger. So I think ill return it and just get a nice corded cirular saw. Box is 3.2 cubed, tuned to 30 hz with 37.5 square inches of port Pics. Here is the box these subs came with made from osb (he did the carpet job on it). New saw thats going back and i was really hoping to use it Just clamped together for looks Screwing together Got kerfs? Its getting there! but then I noticed a flaw in my design and a fail boat! Guess I should of took more then 10 minutes designing the box My problem i ran into is i didnt take into consideration of the wider bend due to the kerf kuts, so the box was not wide enough to have the 2 12's, the radius of the rounded corner, and a port.

The chuck size was a major deal to me, otherwise id still need to use a corded drill for some of my bits, then i see it as whats the point of buying a new drill if i cant use it to full potential. I went all over town looking at kits and prices, and for the money makita was the winner vs dewalt, craftsman, milwaukee, bosch, ignersol. but since that new milwaukee kit came out that the op got im really liking it!! Hmm i may have to try those once. right now me and my boss are buying irwins in bulk since craftsmans aint no good. Lol But im the same way with my impact, use it all the time, tho i need to use the drill for my hole saw, but i just pop my unibit in the impact too. Lol makita some good stuff, I dropped mine from at least 13 feet or so on to cement and it it works great yet. battery didnt even fall off!! and mine came with a rapid charger, charges batts in 10=15 minutes I mainly use mine for school bus installs. theres about 20-30 screws i need to remove to get at some wires depending on bus then of corse put them all in again, also gotta drill two 3/8" holes, and one 3/4" per bus for the motion sensors, rvt's, and speaker. Heres a pic of what i install on every bus my buddy has a older bosch kit (impact, 3/8" drill, flashlight, circular saw, and charger) used it for my whole wall build, and my orig intentions when i bought my drills was bosch because it took abuse, tho the saw crapped out on us when we cut 1.5" of mdf with it. but the wire just came off the motor was a easy fix and brought on by our own abuse which is understandable.

what kinda bits you using in it? I was using craftsman, but my mikita shatters them like a champ too Lol I was giving some irwin bits, and i dont think I broke no more then 2 on over 200 bus install, but broke about 10 or 11 craftsman bits within about 100 idenical installs.

ordered them thru keystone. I know you can get that thru advance autoparts but your gonna pay $240+ for them, but cost was around $65 thru work. You can get them on ebay hella cheap too, but there where too many auctions i seen where it was said "get the looks of led lighting" or something simular to that. So i just assumed they where fake. each light has like 28 leds in them if i remember right ( i counted them one night). Lol and they come in a hyperwhite color that i really wanted, but cops around here are pricks about things like that so i got what i knew i wouldnt be harassed for.

yea. thats a good site, i spent a lot of time going thru the thing. at least 2 hours, and didnt get all the way thru, I could go so broke on the site right now.. I just got the anzo diamond cut assemblys in mine (halo stuff aint my style), and then some ipcw led signal lights. Then got the futurevision hid 6000k for my lowbeams.

thanks mang! mine has a slight ding/bend in it behind the license plate. Its kinda hard to see from straight on, but from the side you can notice it. Its been there since i got it But that rubber molding that goes accrossed it is ugly and im thinking about removing it all the way around the truck. Im assuming yours had the same thing, and you took it off, thats just like double sided tape holding it on I think, but in the bumper theres holes that hold it on so it cant be removed without seeing the holes
