imo i think you wasted your money on the 360.1 if your NOT wanting to run active. Theres no real point of using the active processor if your still going to run the passive crossovers because the crossovers are pre-set on what freq to let through to each speaker (midbass/midrange/tweet). With the 360 you will be able to fine tune the best freq per speaker (midbass/midrange/tweet) and get all the speakers to blend together better, where as you are limited to do so with passive crossovers. And if there is any set of speakers you want to run active on it would be your front stage since this is where you will always be, unless you want it to sound better for the backseat passengers instead of the front seat passengers, but that would just be wrong..

150amp fuse should almost be fine for a 1500wrms if it blows, try a 200amp, dont jump double the fuse size right off the batt! If the fuse kept blowing the amp was being pushed to hard, clipping, and was getting warm. Fuses dont just pop for no reason. I learned that trying to see how much power I could get out of a amp that was found at the junkyard my friends work at. This is the amp. It is only 4 ohm stable mono. LoL I was running it at 1 ohm mono. Its fuse rating is 60 amps (2 x 30). I fried them in a second. I upgraded to 80 amps (2 x 40). They fried in about 5 or so minutes of bumping. The green wire you see in the one pic is a 10 gauge 150 amp fusible link out of a dodge caravan at the junkyard I put it in with the 40 and eventually fried, amp kept playing for a good 20-25 minutes at a time for a few days then just stopped working. lol I took it apart and the solder melted off the board on the positive power connection. I soldered it up, bypassed the fuses all together with some 8gauge, and beefed up some of the other solder connection. It played for about 15 minutes and fried rofl.. But it was a little champ. A guy had 2 of them for sale on another forum for $150 each

Oh I know it sucks waiting on shipping, they are from japan too so the international shipping is very slow But it is nice that they have the warrenty. I hope that I never got to use it again, but it may proboly happen. I gave them a chance, they are still making good with their product. They had some good reviews, others use them, so I said wtf why not. There are people selling knockoff mtec's so id figure they have to be some what decent lol And I understand that it is my old alt that is causing the problems, not the new alt from dom that I dont even have yet. But if I did have it these voltage issues wouldnt be a problem Im trying to wait, but damn its my first alt and I wanna touch it lol

on a good kit you should have no ballast/bulb problem There is a few people on this site that use mtec hids, and had no problems. I think I had a problem with my ballast because my cars alternator is DEAD and my car is charging at 9-10 volts at times and the ballast did not get enough power. This wouldnt of happened if my alternator would of been shipped out on time in a timely mannor. Im just glad in a way I went with the mtec kit because of the warrenty, otherwise I would be paying for a new balast out of my own pocket if I went with a cheaper company

300 amp fuse is to big for a 2000 watt amp esp if it is a off brand as you say because it probolly does not make rated power rms power let alone 2000 watts. You should of been using a 200 amp fuse, if not a 150 amp. fuses sizes should be around the amperage draw of your amp. this way the fuse blows before the amp blows.

Im Starting To Get A Little Fed Up Now!
audiofanaticz replied to audiofanaticz's topic in Buyer / Seller Feedback
Yea I thought about going with ohio generators, the price thing is outragous but they are good alts, My buddy that use to compete had a huge one made for his old blazer, still running strong today! after about 10 or so calls today to iraggi and doms cell, I get a call back when I was in the shower. I called him back and asked him whats up. Told him that he quoted me that the alternator and regulator was packed and ready to ship last thursday when I talked to him and that he told me it was shipping the same day.. Again today he asked me my name, where im located, my car etc. He then said that it wasnt shipped out yet becasue he is out of stock on voltage regulators!! But keep in mind that my alt and reg was ready to ship last week thursday. I think he told me that he got the regulators today and will be shipping it out today, so I should have it tuesday or wednesday. At this point, I can not believe a single thing he has told me. Why you ask? Because according to his ebay auction he has 60+ regulators. Now HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU SELL SOMETHING YOU DONT HAVE? A simple email or voicemail would of been nice to let the customer know that way they dont sit and worry as if they just got took... I just dont know anymore.. Im trying so hard to get ready for the first show in 08. Ive been busting my ass off working a lot of over time. I got lots of money spent on audio goodies but almost nothing to show for it... Edit: On a brighter note, I checked my mail today and I got my 3rd w2 so I can file my taxes now, and I also got a check in the mail from Us cellular for $202.48. It was my deposit I had to put down for my 2 cell contracts. It was only a $100 deposit per line, but I guess the $2.48 was intrest that it earned. I didnt even remember about the deposits so its kinda like free money. Puts my mind at ease a bit and will be able to wait another week for my alt. I just hope it comes this time. -
Im Starting To Get A Little Fed Up Now!
audiofanaticz replied to audiofanaticz's topic in Buyer / Seller Feedback
This I know but according to the auction there are 47 avalible. And he said to me that he has both in stock and ready to ship. At this point I dont care if I get the amputator that I payed extra for or the dominator that I origionally bought. I should of had these items last week if not sooner. Like I said if you got something that is ready to ship, all you gotta do is put it in a box! I finally got a saturday off this weekend (used a vacation day) and would of been the perfect time to have my runs of wire, alt, and voltage regulator installed. I work 2nd shift and we are on mandatory 6 day weeks, the only time I get to myself is on sundays. So even if I get this alt on monday, I will have to wait til the following sunday to install it. I drive 40 minutes to and from work each day, and having my alt completly crap out on me will not make me very happy! All I can say is it better be here tomorrow the 1st. I cant wait much longer -
I wanted to order my alternator during the SMD group buy. I was never able to get in contact with him. So Id figure I will order off ebay, maybe this way I wont have to play the waiting game with this company. 12-28-07 I used the buy it now option on ebay for the alt and voltage regulator. alt- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...Item=5758208792 reg- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=7959447748 I sent the seller a question using the ebay message system, asking if this was the correct alternator I need for my car so I can finish up the order and pay. I never get a response! I finally get a hold of Dom on Jan 11th, 2008 and asked him whats up. We talked on the phone and he said that he never got my ebay message, then later finds it in his spam box (I dont believe my question to the seller was treated as spam by his email like he says because that means every message he gets from ebay would be spam). As we talked on the phone I upgraded my order from the dominator series alt to the amputator series alt. I sent him the payment for the alt and regulator right after I got off the phone with him, on the 11th. Here I am thinking that he is going to be a god and get this alternator shipped out right away. Man was I wrong!!!!!!!! I get a call from his cell phone the next week on Wednesday the 16th if I remember right (I was asleep so didnt answer, but called the number back a hour later and spoke with him again). He told me that they have no idea what kind of alternator I needed, I guess he didnt take notes when I talked to him on the phone, and he didnt recall my message that he found in his email "spam" folder. So twice I told him what my car was. So again, Im thinking to myself that I didnt receive my alternator yet because he had no idea what to send me (which is BS because he was told twice), so here I am waiting again, thinking that now he knows what car I have so it should be shipped asap! I WAS WRONG AGAIN!! Over a week goes by, and Im really starting to get anxious. So I call him back up on Jan 25th. I was told by Dom that my alternator and voltage regulator is packaged up and is shipping today (thursday the 25th of Jan 2008), and that I should have it on Wednesday the 30th or Thursday the 31st. Sunday Jan 20th I ordered a nice big order from KnuKonceptz. Im thinking to myself this will work out ok, Ill get my alt and wire at ruffly the same time so this weekend Ill be able to rewire my car and install the new alt. Wednesday goes by, no alt Thursday comes (today) no alt, but hey I got my new wire!!!! I tried calling both his number I have a couple times now already today and no answer. My stock alternator in my car is dead, It barly charges, and with these cold nights I have to leave my car sit on a battery charger just because my stock alternator is not charging my battery fully. I have spent over $500 on this alt and regulator and still have not got nothing in over a damn month. I am starting to get fed up with this. At this point I dont care no more. He told me that he has both alts in stock for my car (dominator and amputator) and I still havent got one. I am very close to file whatever I have to file with ebay and paypal to get my money back from this guy, and go get a Ohio Generator, because it should not take this long when all you gotta do is put it in a box and ship it.

Music Format Question.
audiofanaticz replied to Mastersound15's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
x4 Nero btw I can burn data discs and they play in my 2004 alpine. Maybe your cd player only supports mp3s, and not wma's? and the only way you can burn over a previously burned cd is if it is a rewritable cd-r. -

Im cheap.. lol I will put a headunit in for $20. Owner pays/provides the harness and dash kit if needed and ill supply the solder and shrink tubing. I will build a basic box for $100. Basic meaning average sized, single baffle, 1 chamber. Owner pays/provides for wood (ill supply screws, glue). Carpeting, resin will cost extra depending on box. I will install a amp for $50. This would be running 1 power wire(ran through the fire wall NOT THE DOOR JAM)/remote/rca cord(s) from front to back. Owner pays/provides needed wiring. I think the prices are fair. Most shops will charge $50 for a headunit install unless you buy it from them, most prefab boxes are priced $150 plus, and at least $100 to run wire and install a amp.

8800gt 256 Vs 8800gt 512
audiofanaticz replied to Sp33dyG's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
them must be a tad older, thats why I didnt see them on newegg maybe. Id take the evga hands down!! they both seem to run the same core clock speed. plus evga warrentys But I thought you would of been compairing two of the same cards by the same company but only one being 256, and one 512. but Im also a evga fan and wont run any other company -

audiofanaticz replied to Sp33dyG's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
Also, I couldnt seem to find a 8800GT on newegg at all in either 256mb or 512mb. Did you possibly mean 8600GT? Like 512 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814143116 vs 256 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814143112 Id go with the 512mb card. -

audiofanaticz replied to Sp33dyG's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
links to both cards? different brandnames have different core and memory clock speeds. the higher the clock speeds the faster the card is (id be more interested in higher core clocks over mem clocks). unless the 512mb verson is way slower clock speeds, id go with the 512 card, 50 extra bucks for a extra 256mb, youd be a fool not too. -
from what I understand is use the aluminum foil and contour it to your body/trunk/floor/etc for whatever you want to build an enclosure for. then run that wax over it (forgot what it is, but I think lsn2meboom) was talking about it in a box he did. Which fills all the cracks in nice and smooth. the marker is used for drawing your line where you want your enclosure to start and stop. this way you know where to stop glassing, and when you peel the aluminum foil off the back of the mold once dry, the marker is soaked into your glass, so you have a cut line. but im not sure for sure

A Little Tease

with the amp right down the mid of the box like that is going to make it look dead sexy when its all done I think -
dito on the cheap dmm.. $10.00 at walmart... I know I had to buy one, when my friend had my blue point. And for test tones, you dont even need to buy them. Download them from ROE! You can download from 5hz to 20khz in a 1mb zip. http://realmofexcursion.com/downloads.htm

prob not.. I think the knukonceptz klm 1/0 power wire is the cheapest Id want to go, Which is 90% aluminum, and 10% copper, and 1.75 a foot. If you got too cheap, you will be getting 4 gauge wire, that is the size of 1/0 gauge because the rubber insulating jacket is so thick. So then even with multiple runs of this "cheap" wire, you would of been better off with 1 run of decent wire.
