Tough question.. Most states say as long as you have 2 side working mirrors, that rear view obstruction is fine. But some states say the same, but have added that your vehicle has to be registered as a truck and have truck plates. However in many states, any alteration to your vehicle are Illegal unless its oem equipped. ( so aftermarket radio, fender trim, rims, muffler tip, and everything else stupid) could get you a ticket. Most likely where ever you look your not going to get a straight answer, and if you talk to the state and say you have some big woofers in your back seat, they will say its illegal even if theres no law. I myself got pulled over a few times for illegal window tint in my old caddy with a wall (twice by state patrol, and once by local cop) and after i explained that the tint looks too dark because the wall is not allowing any natural light in and they looked at it they let me go without a ticket. So im sure it all depends on the cop, and usally the cop is ALWAYS right!

Flukes dont come with clamp meters. Those are normally separately purchased accessories. I have 3 different flukes, and a Snap-on / bluepoint. And the clamps attachments you buy for the DMM's wont work well for car audio purposes. Most of them will only do AC amperage (not the needed DC). The clamp itself is way small, good luck fitting 8gauge wire in them let alone 1/0! Also the amperage most DMMs allow when using the amperage is kinda low. And if you ever wanted to clamp your amps, you will need both a dmm and a clamp simultaneously, or you will have to do 2 back to back tests which wouldn't be as accurate.

Also Im not sure if your car is new enough, but if it has the factory Bose 12 inch subwoofer in the rear deck, take it out. Just taking that out will improve things tremendously!!! Otherwise Like I said before, the thick leather seats, then the plastic panels between the rear seats and trunk for the cars computers and factory air ride, premium sound amps if you have it. It all just blocks the sound waves!! Heres the pic of what I was talking about. I Just cut out my rear deck, a pretty big sized hole ( about 16inches by 30inches wide)! Then I bought some leather from the fabric store to stretch over the hole (you can kinda see in the pic) cant find any better pics of it, and the car is long gone.

Its because the interior of the cadillac. The thick seats, the rear deck lid, etc. Its hard to get the caddy cars loud without opening it up thru the rear deck a bit to get the air moving. Had the same problem with my STS a long time ago! Also, is your box sealed or ported? What size is the box? what are the port dimensions? Maybe build a new box with a bigger port may help depending on its current size.

Checking for power at the switches is the first and easiest test. If you have power at all switches when you push them, then they are normally fine. The next thing you can try is get a jumper wire (speaker wire works great) and put a sharp little prop to poke into the factory wiring inside the door as close to the power window motor as possible. If the window goes up or down you know the motor is good. Maybe you can goto a local junk/salvage yard and see if they have the window switch you can buy, or at least one you can use to test if your switches are bad or not, and if they are buy the switch from them. Most places will usually let you try a simple part like that to see if thats your problem. Also make sure the other window switches work, test them too!!! Usually the windows will not work if you have a broken switch in the back, some vehicles that will break the circuit so you would think that its your main switch that is shot, but it could just be the single window switch on the door.
