  1. Don't need the stuff, but that's a clean install!
  2. Mine's a premier and it's 2.2 volts. But then again its a pretty cheap premier, I just needed something with 3 preouts, MP3 capability, and reliability. With a good processor or line driver, if youre amping both speakers and subs, thats all it comes down to: looks, features, and reliability (ie, i dont care how much it costs)
  3. I hate when people quote and they include all the pictures we all just saw. But anyway back to topic wire looks nice. Whats it goin in?
  4. Yea I would definitely invest some time in tuning that box. It would sound a lot better rather than just having holes. holes do not = ports.
  5. I just got back from seeing it...haha it's so damn sick. Makes me wanna go work out and get in a fight.
  6. haha that's the first time i've heard steve talk... anyway, that box looks sick! and, that escalade, thats chickens right? hows the t15k project comin?
  7. Nice, what size are they? I was planning on glassing some door pods anyway, but I may not have time for that for a while. The stock size in my hoe is 5.75" i think.
  8. I'm actually in debt to the parent's $1150. I didn't want to bother rewiring the factory amplifier, so I'm just gonna run my mids/highs amp to the stock components for a while (till they blow basically) and then I'll start lookin around. I was looking at getting a set of MB Quart Discus comps, but some Memphis comps sound attractive too. BNIB?
  9. I think we're gonna go with power acoustik for the amp. 180 or so watts per channel. So I think i'm just gonna tune around 38 and set the subsonic right around 30 hz, maybe a lil more. Idk yet, but I think we're for sure going with cvr 8's, he doesnt want to spend anymore.
  10. no thats too high. 30-33 would do you nicely. I wouldn't go higher than 36 or so for a good daily driven box.
  11. My brother wants me to put a little (and i mean little) system in his car. So I was thinking I'd go with 2 cvr 8's, the 05 model (only $45 bucks each, and he likes em, so I'm fine with it). My question, the kicker manual says that in a ported box the 8's can only handle 75 watts each. I was planning on running 220 watts to each one. I know subs in ported boxes need less power to get loud, but I didn't know it reduced power handling. Anyone want to help me out here? Also, where should i tune the box to? I was thinking around 35 hz, a little higher than i normally would because theyre only 8's. Thanks for the help guys.
  12. Agreed, it's definitely possible. It gets progressively harder to reach higher numbers the higher you go. Hitting mid 40's is definately loud, but not something amazing. And I'm still building my system so I haven't had a chance to get it metered yet.

    Need Help!

It has the same effect as switching the positive and negative wires from amp to sub. Just easier. If you still don't get it, don't worry about it. Edit: I hope I didn't sound like a dick there, I was just saying its not normally that much of a difference.
  14. Edit: I don't have any music...
  15. Haha I love how 4000 Rockford watts and 2 MT's "isn't anything crazy." Very few people can say that with a straight face
  16. That sounds like it would slam!! And the db goal sounds very reachable, even though it's not tuned for spl. System sounds clean, and I'm glad you're focusing on mids/highs as much as bass. I've seen lotsa people running a buncha subs, and stock speakers.
  17. Comin together amazingly, as always. Any more special tricks comin out for this one? How are you gonna wrap it/finish it?
  18. That looks like a good start man. The first mold i ever pulled off a trunk, i spilled a drop of resin on the car itself and about shit my pants. Is that gonna be enough airspace for 4 ported 10's?? I know theres a lotta room under chevy seats, but I didn't think there was that much!
  19. You could also go with an AudioControl LC8, basically a hopped up line out converter. 80 bucks too. Not quite as fancy as the 360 or cleansweep, but judging from what your saying, it could be right up your alley! We're using one in an install soon actually. Hopefully it'll work well.
  20. Mine's too old school to be adjustable! haha but it does what i need it to, for now anyway.
  21. It looks around 2 cubes per sub. But thats just eyeballing it.
  22. I'm diggin it man. I get excited every time you post a build.
