  1. I know it's a good sub, but I find it very unlikely if it's in a "custom 500 doller spl box". And I do like the CF dustcap. It just seems he is very ignorant....
  2. This fella apparently did a 166.1 with a 12". And I did a 170 with a Jensen once. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Digital-Designs-/261019527368?pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item3cc5f9e8c8
  3. ^^^ That is quoteworthy sir. I like silver terminals because it is the same color as the solder.
  4. Bump! Still very interested in what people have. Broken or perfect!
  5. Just a thought, if you put the coil outside of the box, will it cool better? I know it probably isn't relevant in especially large boxes, but it seems to me that in a small or sealed enclosure it would. Is this true?
  6. It may add aesthetic appeal? I had my Memphis M3s inverted, sexaaay!
  7. And now goes ten minutes of my life playing around making a beat boxing song on google translate.
  8. Although it'd have to be ebay, I cant sell here. Not enough posts....
  9. Yeah, some of their stuff seems pretty quality. I wish they made a monoblock just like this, Two of these in a row would look just awesome. If the price is right it's for sale, If you're interested.
  10. Picked this amp up for 65 bucks. Discovered it is actually two amps in one heat sink. One 4 channel amp and a 2 channel amp. I had to replace the mosfets on the 4 channel side. Funny thing was, the fets weren't blown. The solder holding them on was just melted off. Slightly weird... Well anyhow, it works great now. Pretty nice soudn quality, decent power, stays cool. Anybody ever use any of these amps? Or even seen one?
  11. Very cool! Knew you wouldn't settle for them "little" subs,
  12. US Amps USA 100HC, >1000 damping factor at 4 ohms. It's a beautiful thing.
  13. I bet silvia doesn't post for awhile. I'd want to keep 1000 posts.
  14. Very cool! Suckers are movin! N2's or N3's?
  15. That looks painful. Imagine if they was all mojos.
  16. Oooh that's cool. Never seen an unburnt coil unwind. Especially one that big. Sucks man!
  17. That refers to the cranking amps, which is a useful measurement when you need a large discharge over a short time, such as cranking over an engine, but not terribly useful for the continous drain of a high power system. Generally speaking though, the more cranking maps, the better the battery. Otherwise, look at the "ah" rating. THis is ampere hours, and let's you know how much reserve it has. A good battery like an xs power d3100 has 110ah. It doesn't even tell you the cca or ca on their site. Id think one of these would eb enough, or two conventional lead acid batteries, provided you have an upgraded alternator. Check out maniac motors for an HO alternator if you're on a budget.
  18. Yeah I know it. I can hope. I got mine for 300 and it's mint. The guy I got it from had a USA 200 Hc (two of these in one heat sink) and three more 100 HC's in his ride. Just crazy. The 200 HC has to be worth a grand or more.
  19. Also interested in the USA 50HC, one or two of them would be nice.
  20. Looking for one of thes eolder amps to match my other one. It's not the oldest version, it has terminals, 3 8gauge inputs for power and ground. About 24 inches long. Looking to spend 250 for good condition. Is negotiable if it is mint,or the other direction if it needs repairs. Interested in broken ones too. Shoot me pm if you can help me out, thanks.
  21. Had a cheap system with a $35 scosche 8ga wiring kit, a legacy amp for 20 bucks, and two mtx 10"s or another 60. So just over 100? We all need to start somewhere haha.
