first id do like 3 6", but i checked he doesnt have enough room for aeros either, unless he ports on the outside of the box, but idk if he has room for a 20+" port sticking out of his box.

okay yea sorry i just used your max space and posted without my $0.02 yes box is way too small for 4 12" ported. as has been said. now i do like 12s sealed they can get loud and sound really nice doing so. but you HAVE to be perfectly sealed. meaning if you were to push on your cone(s) and hold it there for a a while no air should escape. ive seen alot of guys destroy subs by leaky boxes. one of the nicest trunk builds i heard were 2 mtx7500 12s in about 3.75 sealed. go figure. so if you built your box sealed and braced it properly and got a perfect seal. i think you will be very surprised with how loud they are. the way i see it, thats the only way your going to play all 4 of those without a crazy box design or heavily modifying your trunk space. i would use as much room as you have subs facing up double baffle. with at minimum 3 rod braces(wood dowels 0r threaded rod work well, but threaded rod a little harder to get sealed-not impossible though) 2 front to back and 1 top to bottom did i miss anything?

i agree with the help on here most likely itll be something easily noticable but if not get a nice bright flashlight and try to look as much into the motor as you can ive seen weird shit getting sucked into open vents. but ive never touched anything mtx accept their thunder line. goodluck

only one of the top of my head is loudspeaker design cook book. im sure you can find it on amazon or something. i dont really want to be like uh google. but im sure if you did some searching you could find something. also parts-express.com has a few book on their site if i do remember correctly. -
sounds good. but your telling me this doesn't look sexy? its all about how you design it. also shared chambers play off each other and usually can get just a tad louder.

How to tell how much electrical I need?
I am Poncho replied to Sid420's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
well said^ -
with the AQs a decent amount upgraded batt and 1/0 both runs to amp. also wouldnt hurt to have a small batt in the back as well. id say wire everything up good with big batt under hood. then play it if your voltage doesnt go under 12.5 your fine. if not throw another batt in the trunk that should help EDit: damn ninja'd

i got just under 3cu without any displacement. if your going for spl i would do the 2 eights, out of those options. but those 12s could get loud and you might just be able to squeeze one in that little area. actually i would run 2 10s in that space. more cone area than the 8s and should be comfortable in that room. Edit: forgot about budget... in that case 12 all the way. i like my AQs -

they are called standing waves btw. if you have a big enough room and a decent sub you can "see" them well. play a low note(on a freq generator) that is easy to hear 30-40 then walk around our room in a circle you find spots where it is the loudest like snowdrifter said and spots where you cant hear it much at all. almost like it isnt there. its fun stuff to play with. ive seen people do weird stuff to try and get around acoustics. i agree with SD you gotta play with it to find where you like it best. on a side note i had my 18" not 2 feet from where i sit. and i never really fully enjoyed it. now its sitting across my room somewhat centered. i love it now. goodluck
