I bought a Kenwood KVT-541 on ebay from this guy for $160...it just showed up today and looks and functions like new. He has alot of them listed at once so they are selling cheap, hereis a link.

I feel your stress, my last theft episode is still fresh in my mind and it definitely stings when you work your ass of for something and some punk just takes it. So here is the thing....I see so many people spending thousands on audio gear, then they skimp on their alarm. First off, get insurance and make sure it covers your shit. Get a good alarm, I have a 2 way Viper and love it. Get a back up battery for your alarm, and then another siren with a built in battery. A pain generator in the cab wont hurt any either and maybe even some strobes in the cab. And finally, and this is difficult at your age but...dont show off...dont advertise what you have, it's just begging someone to take your shit.

Damn bro that was quick.....was a painless wait time compared to others. Awesome news! put it this way, we were HOPING to sell at least 100 by this time (first 3 months)......we sold 500 and almost every country on the map has gotten at least 1. that put us on the spot like you wouldnt believe. I have made good on every order though so i think everyone is happy! Thats actually pretty amazing when you break it down like that. So, how long has it taken to go from concept to finished product? a little over a year i would say Thats quite an accomplishment, you should be proud!

Good point, I ordered a few more light colored swatches....if I go with light fabric I wont use suede just for the cleaning factor.

I'm getting around pretty good on my crutches, and have just about everything for my rebuild so it's time for me to make a couple final decisions. The bottom half of my door panels will be glassed to accommodate 2 6.5" speakers, then I will cover the top insert and bottom pod with fabric. I'm gonna do my seat upholstery while I'm at it, it's been ages since I have stitched upholstery so I got some cheap vinyl to brush up. I have narrowed the fabric down to a few choices....but would like to get some input and opinions. So, here are the pictures. My door panels will remain charcoal grey, the inserts are what I'm changing. The seats will match, charcoal body with inserts matching the doors. These are the fake ostrich choices: These are the Suede choices: This is all of them together, the dark swatch in the center will be my seat body, it looks dark in the pic but is an exact match to the charcoal on my door panels and the rest of my truck. Thanks for any opinions!!
