  1. with only a 270 amp alt your system would be pulling a lot out of the batteries. with a system that requires 362 amps as you said plus the car needing around 40-50 amps so you have around 400 amps of draw or more. youll get pretty bad voltage drop from your batteries because the alt cant keep up with that at full rpm. plus that alternator probably only puts out 100-150 at idle so your pulling even more from the batteries then
  2. ohhh didnt realize it was a neon so i guess just one alternator will have to due.
  3. a high output alternator or two would be required. one big agm battery up front and a few in the back and a few runs of 0 gauge or better front to back for positive and negative
  4. well at my walmart they only sell 50 oz and 16 oz bags so i would just say get a 16 oz and use it all. i did around 1.4 per cube and it was packed in there pretty good
  5. i dont really get what youre saying. the 1800 on your rockford amp probably means 1800w peak. my friend has an mtx amp that 600 rms 1800 peak. go off the rms rating when choosing an amp and if its not cea compliant then its probably overrated
  6. i polyfilled my friends sealed box the other day and made it noticably deeper sounding. i think the ratio is around 1.4 pounds per cubic foot
  7. just put a dmm or voltmeter to the terminals to see what voltage youre at. its also not good to run agm and LA batteries together but a lot of people do it so you should be fine
  8. i just looked up what piece youre talking about is it the 4 trim pieces? i can see how it would look bad without them but maybe contact kicker for them
  9. well merry christmas! any amp from 300-500 watts would be good for this sub depending on the box
  10. plenty of other subs can handle that power with just glue. just use a quality glue and you should be fine
  11. soooo glad to see a post like this! what model is it?
  12. 2 12's would be more cone area than a 15 and it would use less of your trunk. you probably cant afford 2 sundown 12's for $250 though
  13. The best for that amp would be either 2 12's or 1 15 but it depends on how much space you have to work with.
  14. well since i dont have any cash or trophies, i would take either but cash is more enticing
  15. i dont know if this is true or not but i think you should be fine with running different size batteries as long as you dont mix AGM and LA
  16. i was just making sure you didnt wire it like this the best way to make sure your subs are good would be to pull them out of the box and put the dmm to each coil to make sure they read around 4 ohm
  17. it looks like the dual 4 subs are wired fully in parallel causing a 1 ohm resistance at the terminals. that would cause the amps to go into protect
  18. x2 x2 to your x2 were at x4 now so i think we should get an update on 3's
  19. awesome to hear! cant wait til i get into the high powered amp game!
  20. check out xs power. theyre cheaper than stinger and are just as good if not better
  21. i like the idea but youre probably going to run into cancellation issues with there being subs facing forward, backwards, and upwards. cant wait to hear it though and i hope it works out for you so you don have to design another box
  22. the mayhems or the Fi BTL would probably be the best choices for that
  23. i dont know about indiana but ive never heard of a law that said you cant wall off a car. just do a google search for indiana state statutes
  24. show us some pics! boss is really shitty but id consider it a higher end shit. also as most people here will tell you get rid of the capacitor. use the search and you will find a bunch of reasons why they do more harm than good. im also interested to see what the boss amp clamps at
