  1. My old man bought a wood turning lathe a while back to make bowls and ink pens and stuff, We haven't even unpacked in yet. He bought it before christmas. I need to get over there and get to learning how to do this stuff. Nice work though.
  2. I was kinda wondering about that... It completely sucks to have a ride that is hooked up and all you do is keep looking over at it to make sure some asshole isn't trying to hotwire your shit and take off with all your hardwork. I dont even have a quarter of what you got invested into my truck and I am so paranoid as it is. Can't begin to fathom how it is for you with all the people in the world knowing you and your tahoe from a mile away. On another note... The magnet idea is Fuckin sweet. That is true creativity, and simplicity all in one.
  3. You are partially right. I was watching the story of Billy Queen on nat. geo. the other day, this guy was the ATF agent that went undercover to infiltrate the " Mongols" motorcycle gang in southern cali. These were the guys who went to war with the hell's angels. This "war" was funded by meth and other drug sales. One of the things the mongols are famous for is creating the first crude versions of crank in the late 1970s. Redneck bikers? yeah sure. But they were selling the crank all over hollywood and L.A. to lots of very wealthy people, making enough money to purchase large amounts of illegal weapons. Crank is literally every where. No town is too big or too small for it to find its way in. I am all for legalizing drugs, but this drug is really an exception to me. The process of production is extremely dangerous, the side effects of its use are life threatening when overdosed and the fact that chicken manure is used along with anhydrous ammonia just seems completely wrong. They use those ingredients along with something in batteries ( A,C,D,AA...) and the labs are highly combustible and the people that make this shit have no consideration or concern for their safety or anyone else's. The weird part of it is most of the folks that cook it up don't even use it, which baffles me as too why they would risk the danger of blowing up a house or motel room to make some money. Without going into details, Yeah I know about that stuff. It is a part of me I don't brag about, and it is something I regret ever being apart of. the harder the law makes it to acquire the materials to produce it , the better. It is more addictive than crack or alcohol or heroin or any other drug.
  4. That sucks. I got a email from paypal , for real my name and all in the email, telling me to please login and check my account out. Some woman in boston hacked my account, used on of my credit cards that I ( used to ) kept on file, and bought some kinda palm phone for just over 700 bucks. Luckily capital one has the protection stuff, cleared it up in one afternoon, had to replace all my account numbers for every card kept on file. Good luck, and by all means, enjoy the revenge !
  5. Yeah whatever. I am typing on that same keyboard right now. Mac is " gey " , my mac seems pretty damn straight to me.
  6. seems like you already made your mind up logan. So run it. Z3US.
  7. they basically are trying to see if there is reason to take the case further. Mostly trying to see how much you will incriminate yourself. take your lawyer with you, if ya don't have one, then say as little as possible...
  8. Hey man... I was really tied up this weekend. Although I was home. My best friend's wife had their baby 2 months premature.... Anyway. I will call you when I get back home... Possibly tomorrow. I still have the music for ya, and.... I just happen to have a brand new DMM that I bought at home depot like a month or so ago that I haven't even taken out of the package yet. Now, as I read somewhere else - you dont got no drivers license ... one more time ... Cause ya know ... thats kinda funny. But , I can come out your way if ya want , and I will bring the DMM and we can try it out. I will send ya a p.m. when I get a call to go to work tonight and let ya know where I am goin. I am in waycross right now... EDIT: Hey d. prolly wont get home till wednesday. goin to jacksonville now. ( 10:30 p.m. monday night )
  9. there was a good review of this movie in geek magazine ( don't ask, but its cool as fuck ) and they interviewed Ed Norton. This movie will not be anything like the old tragedy of a few years back. They were very careful thru the whole process to make it original , more real looking, and actually using a villain from the comics. The only change is the character that plays the abomination is a american soldier in the movie, and in the comics I believe he was a russian or french soldier. But either way, Marvel comics has started their own movie studio company now, and they will of course have the exclusive rights to all marvel character movies starting with Iron Man, so the movies will be much more character and story authentic to the comics they portray. If you have seen Iron man you can clearly tell that the story telling style of this genre of movie has taken a turn for the better on account of marvel comics having full reign of over every line of dialouge , the way each scene is shot, and the character development thru the film. Hulk will be worth the ticket price.
  10. I just saw in this months Playboy that the Crazy Horse show from Paris is now at the MGM Grand.. !!!!
  11. boon dock saints, crash, garden state, dances with wolves, the unforgiven, dogma, Jackie brown, American beauty, chasing amy, fear and loathing in las vegas, blow, V for Vendetta, fight club, snatch, American history X, a clockwork orange, bullit, 25th hour, Good Will Hunting, And two recent ones that deal with the a very true story ... "An American Crime" , Jack Ketchum's " Girl next Door " ... A Bone chilling horrible crime that took place in the 1960's in Indiana in which a girl is tortured and beaten to death in a basement by a woman and her kids. The victim is portrayed by Ellen page ( juno ) and the second movie is a fictional re creation of the same crime...
  12. I love how you will just take shit apart and re - engineer it to fit your needs. That bit with the charger control panel is cool. Seems like you modded somethin up front that way too...can't remember exactly what though, but this just goes to show just how much you can do to set your work apart from everyone else in this hobby/industry. Exceptional work. And damn, RF just needs to send over the show trailer and let you and chicken just have whatever you guys want. Between the two of ya and yalls rides being all over the net , their sales numbers have had to gone up at least 10 % of the past couple of years.
  13. Uhh, no. I am fully aware of what he asked. Being as there have been a few different threads on this subject, And I was in the mood to type a little bit, I didn't really see where what I said was personal in nature toward anyone, and Why should my experience be kept private. Everybody has to deal with this problem in their own way, and if my post gives him or anyone else any guidance or insight , then I will share it openly for all to read that may find it useful. He is clearly not the only one questioning himself and his lifestyle, and I have been there, I know what it is like, as I am sure many other members here do to. The drug scene is very easy to get involved with, and sometimes almost impossible to get away from. I don't to know what kind of drugs he does, and I don't care. some drugs that are not addictive to one person may be devastating to someone else. There is no miracle way to just stop doing them, except self induced willpower. some people think they can just quit, but soon realize it is not that simple. that is what I am trying to tell him or anyone else trying to accomplish sobriety. It is tough, it sucks, and it can make you wanna give up and go back to getting high. You have to be mentally prepared to quit, and that is really hard to do when you are high or hung over from doing something hard core the night before. If he was like me, he has probably lied to every family member at somepoint about his drug use, hell, he may have stole things from them to buy drugs. I did. They were the last to believe I was getting clean cause they heard it all from me before a hundred times. You have to prove to yourself that you can quit before anyone else will help you. Parents and family are no exception, especially when they have watched a "phase" turn into a lifestyle, then into a different personality. There is nothing personal about that except that this is what I learned from quitting all of my drug use.
  14. I know people are tired of me pimpin out for Alpine, but they truly do have the best ipod integration and the fastest connection speed of any head units out there. Hell, they were the first ones to come out with a deck that was designed just for the ipod, damn thing doesn't even have a CD player. Not for me, but just goes to show just how dedicated they are to making sure the decks they build work seamlessly with the ipod.
  15. As I mentioned in another thread. Alot of us Have been there. I have used everything , and in just about every form at one point. I never used the needle, and I am thankful for it . You will only quit when you have decided you are ready to. If you have reached that point you will have developed the will power to remove yourself from any social scene where it can be found for a very long time. You will have to tell those friends that you get high with that you just cannot be around them if they are gonna use around you. Really it will be hard. Because if you are not using, you are talking about getting high, telling stories about getting high, and your conversations with people will get you wanting to get high again. When you are ready to stop and walk away for good , no matter how physical the addiction seems, you won't have any problems quiting , and you will start to notice things and people around you change because of it. Especially your family, and the people you habits have affected. They will see the change in you and they will acknowledge it. Your hard work won't and your change in lifestyle will not go unnoticed. The question is, are you REALLY ready to stop? Is being broke all the time finally gotten on your last nerve ? I don't really consider not being able to pass a drug test a real valid reason to quit. People stop for that reason all time , and they go right back to it a few hours after finding out they passed the test. If the opportunity for a life changing career job has been offered, do you really want it that bad? Is that what it will take to put it all down and walk away ? Remember, quitting some of these habits requires a complete change in lifestyle, and sometimes a new circle of friends and possible abandoning your old friends for at least a little while. Drug use is a decision. You made the decision to start and try each one. You make the decision to toss that paycheck into somebody else's hand every weekend. YOU have to make the decision to find something else to do with your time. Find another way to occupy your thoughts. There is no quick method, or alternate craving or activity to take its place in your mind. You may find things to keep your mind busy, but you won't forget just how getting high makes you feel for a very long time. You have to be ready to have a battle with yourself everyday as to rather or not you are gonna get high or not. Your friends that use will call you up, invite you over , offer to drop by a pick you up , they will not care ( most likely ) that you are trying to quit, unless they are gonna try and quit with you. You can quit. You just have to be ready to. And no matter how bad it gets those first few days to a week, you have to fight the urges. If your mind is right, and you are ready, you won't have any problems quitting, no matter what drug, no matter how bad the withdrawals are. If need to check yourself in somewhere then do it. Rehab won't follow you around forever, and may be just what you need to help you get started. It is nothing to ever feel embarrassed about. Some drugs are really hard to give up. Some drug use will make you very sick if you stop cold turkey. Sometimes it really is the best option. Sometimes though, rehab will just make you want to get high even more. Once again - You have to have your head in the right place or quitting for good won't happen. I wasted close to five years of my life cause I thought the world left me behind and drugs took that feeling away. What really happened was the world was leaving me behind because the only thing that mattered to me was staying fucked up. I woke up one day and it occured to me that financing my drug use was keeping me from doing anything else. Some people can do both, I couldn't. I will never look at anyone who uses any drug as beneath me. Some folks can handle it, I could not. Believe me, I wish I could roll a herb up every day, but I know what will happen if I do that. One thing always leads me to something else. I can not control my own downward spiral , and I am aware of that fact. It may be the same for you. It is up to you. your family will help, but like the old saying goes, you gotta help yourself first. YOU CAN DO THIS.
  16. Holy shit. I would hate to know I was the guy he used as a spring board and a hurdle.

  20. poplar is really easy to work with. Doesn't stain well though. Oak and maple are very hard woods, and are alot harder to "work" with. Pine is okay, but pine just looks cheap IMO...
