/\ all of these ideas are great and you guys really make me feel better about my situation i just found a place not to far from where i am now for $500 a month heat/hot water included....not in a bad section of town but still not in the best section either. im gunna look into that because i can definitly afford that with my other current bills so we will see what happens. she does need to be put into a home....but id feel horrible about it because she can drive....kinda lol and she definitly can take care of herself with no issues ..its just she gets mental sometimes.....she is nice as hell to my face but it could be 5 minutes after i leave and she will be in this room snooping and kickn shit..... i dont ANYTHING wrong to her believe me when i say that. in fact im her fix it guy....when somethings broke she calls me. or if she needs something done i do it. i am trying to get out and i have been hiding my laptop under the mattress since the last incident in fact its under there now lol i have 2 computers in my room( desktop for video and downloads and such, the other for just lounging around the house) but again thanks for the input guys! i appreciate it lol i actually feel a little better now knowing people have sorta the same issue as me. thanks

ok so hears the deal..... my grandma ( who i live with) has dementia and i and all my family knows this except for her...... well because of certain events in my personal room i have installed a motion sensing camera in my room hooked up to my pc..... well recently she knows ive been looking for my own place and so ive caught her on camera picking up and slamming my laptop on the desk its on in my room....i pay her rent and shes done this more than once.... this computer is tempermental in the way that it has gpu issues where ive had to replace the motherboard due to hp's lack of cooling...there was a class action lawsuit on it but anyways what would you guys do if it started fucking up....like recently and you believed it was due to the "slamming" im really pissed and cant totally afford a place yet and if i say anything im almost positive she kick me out for my surveillance activity. btw: this same grandma is like loaded (money wise) and she takes my change constantly, kicks my xbox (and kinect when it was BRAND new couple days old) talks shit about me and my girl on the phone to ppl when im not around while snooping in my room.....i dont get it im at my wits end....if you guys only knew the frustration I/we go through with her wut would you do?

/\ this made me lol at least your push button was for a reason. yea this car was in a slight front end collision cracking the radiator and the emergency guys probably shorted the hot side of the battery against the frame when they cut it.....well i guess its getting parted out instead of sold as is. lmao im gunna have fun tearing this thing apart

ok so i had a vw gti come into the yard mid -late 90's 2.0 liter 5 speed. (junkyard) was in a small accident in the front. car can still drive mechanically.......if i could get it started. bags were deployed car was abandoned. NO KEYS. the people cut the positive side on battery cable. theres like 6 cables on the hot side. it has a factory alarm. so this is how i get it with the instructions to start it and run it to make sure we can part it out nicely: so i strip all the positive side wires down and twist them together..... hook the battery pack we use up to that bundle of positive wires and the neg. up to the body of the car. alarm goes off..... isnt surprising cept the bump of the head from the loud noise lol. i then go into the cowl to snip the horn wires for the alarm. ok so now its quiet. just the relay clicking for the alarm. i go into the driver seat and rip apart the steering column (carefully lol) and get the plug off the back of the ignition and proceed to cut and strip wires. THIS is were it gets interesting. so i cross wires to get the dash lights on and the such but cant get the starter to turn over....... ok so its the alarm stopping it......until i have the clutch pushed in and press the hatch release button. then it turns over...... right? i get it to start.... sounds ok no tapping or grinding noises. sputters as i get out and stalls. now WILL NOT START AGAIN. turns over just no start. ran for a total of maybe 15 seconds..... so im crankn it over and tryin different things..... put more gas in it..... then i decide to see if the headlights work just for shits and giggles..... as soon as i twist the switch the car starts turning over.....and wont stop till i release the clutch pedal.... but then i press it in again and its turnin over like i was hittin the switch and holding it. the only way i can stop it from doin it every time the clutch is pushed in is to remove the battery cables. WTF?!?!?!?!? pissin me off. i think im checkin fuel pump and spark 2marrow morning when i get to work. all that cranking and i smell NO fuel smell even right at the exhaust tip. any thoughts? can anyone top that craziness?

You make absolutely no sense. Yes, the oil pump is before the filter...Making a sandwich plate between the filter and block work perfectly for feeding a turbo on a motor with a turbo added on. /\ this is what i wanted to do in the beginning....and now that i know that a separate oil system is a bad idea that is what ill do lol thanks guys!!!

didnt they just start carrying kickers? like recently? what do you mean last time you got kickers there? so what size you looking for if kickers are small? 15"s 18"s ? good luck tryin to be on a budget trying to get big excursion even with broken shit lol....

all soobs do this.....mine did it too....then i swapped a 5 speed in it maybe you should consider it considering yours is an XT...... which is a turbo no? the tranny i would go with would be the 6 speed for that though if it is a turbo....... all in all i used to do it ALL the time..... EVEN when still going like 20 mph id pop it in N when coming to a red light..... THAT is probably bad for it since its not getting the tranny fluid it needs but i knew i was doin the swap so i didnt care lol bottom line is that these subaru auto trannys are pretty tough and can actually hold more HP than a 5-6 speed can..... believe it or not.....just dont try a neutral drop lmao

from my experience never had a problem switching back and forth between conventional and synthetic..... my car has 124k on it and have switched back and forth 2 times due to money issues LOL..... never had a problem with leaking BUT did notice when you switch from conv. to synth BACK to conv. oil it gets black quick.....like in 2000 miles..... my car usually can go 3000 and just barely be dark on conventional..... synthetic i can go like 6k til it starts turning dark. synthetic is the way to go..... way better IMHO EDIT: last oil change was with royal purple 10w30 synthetic and will never buy it again..... lasted 3k and BLACK as all hell not worth the money at all.....$10/ quart @ 5 quarts + $25 for RP filter= lotza money for "great" oil and a not so happy customer.....

wondering..... i see people have run scavenging pumps on theyre turbo's to avoid oil pressure biuld up and blowing out the oil seals..... my question is this: can i make an independent oil system for my turbo? like id have a reservoir, pump, oil cooler, maybe a check valve on the input side of oil to avoid over pressurizing, and would i need a scavenging pump on the other (output) side to pull the oil through? i dont want to tap into my heads or oil pan to get oil.... and if i get an oil leak from the turbo id rather it not take away from my engine..... any thoughts or has anyone done this? thanks guys just noticed we can attach files now to posts..... if you get an amp... that alternator is only puttin out 85-95 amps MAX...... at least half of that is used to run the car..... voltage drop happens really easy on our subarus.... im running a sony xplod 1000w amp that doesnt put out much in the way of rms wattage and i had voltage drop down to close to 10 volts. just something to think about..... i ended up with 3 batteries all together with 4 gauge for the amps and the big 3 as well as all the grounds in the engine compartment sanded down to bare metal and re-attached because subaru likes to paint the car before attaching the grounds so all are very poor grounds. i can easily run a higher wattage amp now as i have no voltage drop what so ever. also if its a wagon you will hate the roof rattle.....its horrible. these cars can get loud on not alot of power also ( well the wagons can)

yea once you de-solder the existing wire and get the solder outta the hole....there will be a hole. stick the new ground wire in the hole and solder it in there but like everyone else said do a better job than the last guy or ur gunna have the same issue. the finished solder job should be a somewhat shiny appearance
