  1. Captain Crunch, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch I like the looks of 15's, especially when picturing them in my car
  2. Your topic reminds of my friend who wants to put 2 Jl W7 8's, 10's, and 12's in his car to achieve better sound quality somehow. I think the different sub size theory would actually work if each different sub plays different frequencies. That's my point of view, but I could be wrong, but I'd like to see where this topic goes.
  3. Well, I'm just making sure you know the rules, it's a very big rule here actually. But you can ask opinions on the P1000-BDcp, you're just not allowed to ask which is better because everyone has their opinions, and it would be hard to decide.
  4. But the companies you see here tend to be better built than your typical mainstream sub, like Kicker, Mtx, Alpine, etc
  5. No, I'm not saying they're the best, there's actually no such thing as the best sub or brand, because there's a lot factors, like how you installed everything, what you want them to do, and what box/enclosure you put them in, there's so many factors, it's really hard to compare, which is why we don't have or allow VS Threads
  6. Only company I can think of that they can compare to is Sundown, which is another good brand, very popular here on the forums. You can ask the SkarAudio rep, or Chillmasterwill about the subs since they actually use them, while me, I'm just looking and researching about the VVX, and since I know that they don't need that much air space, thought I would tell you about them so you can have 2 12's ported in a Tercel. Though I heard good things about Soundstream too
  7. Hmm, you say want a ported box, but you don't have enough airspace for 2 12's ported Well, since I've been looking at them for ideas, check out the Skar VVX-12, they only need 1.75 cu ft each after sub displacement for ported, and you can power 2 of them fine with that Hifonics. There's other companies you can check out also.
  8. Some stupid kid threw a banana at my car when I was driving to school. This ain't Mario Kart asshole.

  9. The Reanimation album is a masterpiece Check out Fort Minor also since you're a Linkin Park fan, "In Stereo" bumps nicely
  10. I honestly love the fact that the shop is named "Dirt Floor Customs"
  11. $200! O_o That's a freaking good deal a for working car, especially for a Honda, and if worse comes to worse, scrap it.
  12. I just liked the page, and I'm already impressed with your work
  13. Might as well keep this topic going since I did put a lot of thought into it. http://youtu.be/zbWUgERE0aU Old school Jungle, from 1995 http://youtu.be/20Z2WLueUic
  14. Check out Obsidian Audio, they got 15's or 18's for under $200, and I've heard they can handle 1000 watts rms, even though they are rated at 600 watts rms. Note; Damn, You got to me lol ( hate being ninja-ed lol)
  15. How much power are you gonna run?
  16. Well, at least I may change my other friend's opinion on ported boxes by having him help me build my box, because he didn't say sealed sounded the best, he said it would sound as good ported if built to specs, so I'll give him a demo after I build it hopefully this weekend, if he's not working cause I need him for the cuts(got no cutting tools :/).
  17. Exactly, I'll take my own advice, and do things right, slowly but right, and do it myself also, well of course along with my friend's help when I need it, and advice's and tips from here. Though I do wonder, if his installer has a Master in Mechanical Engineering, why is he an installer, don't installers have a low pay or something?
  18. Well, at least I know a good amount since I do alot of research on google/SMD, I read people's results, but I don't know everything of course, I'm still learning(that's why I keep coming here, I do more reading that posting, and, I try to help with what I know though sometimes, even though I tend to post mostly on the off topic cause I'm bored a lot.), but everybody in my area keeps telling me that JL is the best, and sealed boxes sound the best, I only have one friend who agrees with, and listens to me. I'm just gonna let my friend make his mistakes by somehow fitting 4 W7's, 2 of them 12's, other 2 13's, in a Lancer, while keeping his backseats, with sealed enclosures probably powering each with a 750/1 cause he thinks RMS is maximum wattage, and can damage the sub if he feeds them their RMS, and then somehow be able to be loud enough to be heard from his house to my high school(that's 2 miles), while retaining perfect SQ. I may be a beginner still, but at least I have common sense, and I listen to more than just one person for everything, like I'd definitely listen to what you guys have to say when I get stuck on or don't know something.
  19. Like I said, it was late(like 2 am), my brain was half asleep, and I was pissed. I'm probably extremely wrong on this, so my bad on that.
  20. I guess I should let him learn his mistakes cause he's gonna end up wasting so much money, and still not be satisfied, while I go in the right path, though it's going to be slow, but I'm extremely glad I've joined SMD, I've learned so much cause before, I used to think sealed was best sounding, and JL is top dog, but now I learned better. I should convince him to join SMD, and see where he's wrong.
  21. Yeah, I probably should because it's ok to make mistakes, but when you make them, and act like your the shit, then it annoys me. I wish I had the money he has, I would have done so much better, but one day he'll regret thinking his setup is the best, whether it's me that does when I get a job, or someone else. He may outdo high schoolers, but that's probably the only thing he'll only be able to do. He used to be humble about it, but now he wants to be loud while using JL products cause he thinks they're the best sounding and loudest brand in the world, he now wants to show off.
