um?.... so the gain has nothing to do with the amp? how is that? I said with the output of the amp. You don't get "more" out of your amp by turning the gain up, you get the most out of your amp by setting the gain correctly, and that correct setting has nothing to do with output, but the input of the amp. The higher the input voltage, the lower your gain is set. his not talking about battery voltage his talking about the voltage the h/u send through the rca. it can be 1v it can be 2v it can even be 5v so depending on h/u that you will have to set your gains

yes the sub can handle the amp but dont set the gain all the way up it will send a bad signal and will burn your sub, it will do that even if you had a 1000 watt amp

i wouldnt set the amp at full gain, you need to check for clipping

if i had a shop do it it dont mean i dont know how to do it, it was a choice i made and didnt want to go through the trouble of running multiple runs of 1/0 gauge and take apart my interior to install the dynomat, had a few hours and had to get it done cause i had to do other things and would have taken me ages to do it, and i have another post where i say im never taking it back to a shop and will do things myself since theey screwed up on my grounds holding 2 wires together with zip ties and tape edit: i did the install with no engine noise, now i have to check my ground to check if they are bad. most likely i don't have a good ground

i had my wires on different sides and had no engine noise, then i had a shop run new wires on my truck a month ago they ran it on same side as rca and i got engine noise now

i was the same way and went with the AA since i got a good deal from SSA, either sub you use will be a good choice

kinetic hc2400 or kinetic hc3800 or XS D3100 there is many you can get also if you are planning on getting an h/o alt get the biggest you can get, it will save you money and time

i dont think you will find good subs, i knew someone that put DJ subs on his ride and sounded very crappy. it was loud because of the horns but sounded really bad, plus i dont think DJ subs or home audio subs can take the punishment you will give them

the other problem will be on your h/u do you know what level it starts to clip? no point on setting your amps correctly then sending them bad signal with h/u if you set your amps correctly don't play your h/u full tilt till you know at what level it starts to clip

i heard the clipping on subs when i use the tones that come with the CD, when i was tuning mine i would actually hear the clipping on my subs when the light would turn on on my dd-1

hmmm if its not working why not contact them to have it fixed, have you trouble shoot yours yet? if your has a bug then the rest should too and mine is working perfectly
