how much is said deaf woofer? i been wantin to run dc but dunno what will be best suited wit my current amp what pair of level 15's will work good on 1000rms total @1ohm? i been wantin to run dc for a good min n im on a budget so ya but i'll run 12's too, but ied like to keep it 15's if i could im gunna upgrade to prolly an hifonics 2600 in the nere future tho what will my 1000rms@1ohm amp push pritty good atm till i upgrade? they will be in my sealed downfire for mean time n i'll do a upfireing or front fireing ported box and to op thanks for lettin me kno dc is louder than alpine cause i was gunna try n get some type r's off ebay lol glad u had good luck with dc, ied like to be a customer but dunno what level will work best for me will a lvl 4 xl 15 work good with 500rms each to 2 till i upgrade to a hifonics 2600 or should i do lvl 3?

u can mount cross overs on the door, behind the door pannel, to the kick panels, under the carpet at the dash if u want to n stick em to the floor wit double sided tape i had mine in the door n shouldn't have cause water runs into ur door via window and has holes at the bottom to let water out n i didn't kno this n i was playin around wit my truck one day n i went to take out my xovers n they was all rusty n what knot but still worked kinda got out in the good due to my comps are marine rated so they still ok but do not just throw em in the door n let em lay on the bottom if u dont want to run to many wires u can put GOOD double sided tape on em n stick em behind the door panel, or u can screw em to the back of the door panel, i got mine mounted to my kick panels

i useto have a set of thump pro 10's that sounded pritty decent, and the oldschool pyle driver stuff in the early 90's was the shit n what u guys think about majestic? i got an oldschool one thats a 300w2ch that runs my mids n highs like it aint no joke but ya some cheap shit aint always that bad, just depends on wut u expect to get out of it n what ur gunna do wit it, ya u can abuse the shit out of a cheap sub n blow it but whats the diff then runnin it wit clean power n see wut it can do can anyone find me a brand on these subs? i dont have a pic but my cuzin had a set of 15's i think back in the 90's in his honda that had a brown i think cone wit grafiti on teh dustcap n trim around the basket were u mount the sub, they got pritty loud for what they were too

if u have dual 2ohm voice coils u cant wire ur subs to 2ohm with one woofer only, only ohms u can get is either 1 or 4 unless u just run one coil n get 2ohm, i dought u will get enough independence rise to get to 2ohm tho, maby 1.8ohm at the most do u have these speakers?

he has d2's so ied wire each sub pos to pos n neg to neg n then run a wire off the left subs neg to the right subs pos coil, n then run a wire off the left subs pos coil to the amps left pos, n run a wire off the right subs neg to the right neg on the amp n u should be good wit ur 2ohm load my buddy had 2 or 3 subs runnin off his nitro 1200 n it worked ok, pushed 2 rf punch he2's pritty good, n i got em off him n my mtx 500d did better but ya ied wire it like that, or heres a pic of how to do it too, i just wire it like that cause it leaves less wires at the amp to work wit haha rf does it too =) heres the pic if u wired ur subs together n then the same at the amp and u did this u down to .5 ohm n fixin to blow shit up in that amp n need to rewire asap lol hope this helps

oh ya, check your door step plates n see if a screw might have went into the wire unless u ran it somewere else, i was in a hurry one day n threw in a 8guage kit to play wit in my bro n laws blazer n a screw from the step plate went into the wire n caused it to short out n blow every fuse we put in n make it get hot but ya check all your connections at ever point n make sure theres no loose strands comein out of the wire touchin somewere else on the amp or other input post, n check that the wire is tight at battery n that the post is decently tight but do not over tighten the battery post cause it will break off n u'll be up shit creek can u take pics of how this is setup so we kinda get an idea on what ur workin wit here?

is the wire hot or the terminal? normaly if the wire jacket gets hot its pullin to much current n cant keep up wit the demand with that amp 4guage will work but 0guag-1/0 is what u need with true 1k rms n up, i wouldn't of even tryed it without 0guage cause with that high of resistance n causein the wires to get that hot wonder what its doin to the amp? ied fix that ground but get a decent 0guage kit n use it if u want for the cheap n get decent wire get this kit, i got the 4guage when i had my honda n it worked great wit a 500rms amp http://www.darvex.com/SQK0/Sound+Quest+0+Gauge+Amp+Kit.html and put meade in for cupon code for i think a 20% discount too anyways sound quest is made my stinger so its a replicable company hope this helps

ya i been bumpin some tech n9ne n what knot but get some of there other artists too big scoob, and krizz kaliko sound diff when there by themselfs tho but ya tech n9ne ftw, only reason i chose ub40 cause its a hard song to play n has fast notes that go low n then real high n then in middle n back n forth n just to show how efficent fi n rf are i really want to run rf mids n highs but gots to save da moneys first lol

do u have a stock front battery or any other batteries like 2 or wut knot? those mtx amps dont pull that much current @2ohm, i had a mtx 500d wired down to 1ohm when i had my 4500's and my old rockford punch he2's n with a stinger 1fcap n 4guage it worked fine ied just run 0guage to amp n maby a couple runs of 4guage from alt to battery pos n then the regular big 3 grounds n it should be fine but ya those old mtx amps were pritty efficent with power, or from my experence it was

it will make somewhat of a diff but not that much but ied go ahead n order a big 3 kit from scottie j for around $30 aint bad http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=51487 n u can use the 4guage elsewere, but trust me it does make a diff in my geo my idle voltage was 13.2v and when i did big 3 in 4guage cause thats all i really had i was saveing my 0guage for my truck, n voltage went to 14.7v so ya it makes pritty much good diff, but u wont get as much resistance wit 0guage tho

oh ya i forgot, about 70% of cars use 4guage for stock wires so i unno just leave ur stock wires intact tho and the only reason i took mine off cause my stock ground wires were 10guage n that wasnt hardly good enough for anything so i just went ahead n redone em wit 0guage

ive heard 4guage can handle up to 150amps n i have a stock 75amp alt in my geo with a big 3 in 4guage n it works out just as good as my 0guage in my truck wit stock 70amp alt u can do it till u get bigger wire, but if u go to around a 175 idle to 300max alt its best to run 1/0-0guage to it but ya 4guage will work, i got a 150amp fuse on my alt but ive heard u dnt really need one but i put one on just in case
