  1. more info is still required, with dual 12 youll most likely have no trunk left
  2. I see you have a removeable port, you could just build another longer port, idd try to do 2 common walls this is what i would do you can go upto half the port width from the back wall, but at 10w x23.25d you have 32hz or 9.5w x 23.75d 30._ hz just dont go under 9.5w
  3. You can get some very good quality stuff under 200, even quality mainstream brands It all comes down to how many of what size Now to get that answer you need to know What car How much space How much power what do you want to achieve, Once you no this, it will limit you options and you'll be able to go from there Post some more details and go from there
  4. with out knowing all the info im aussimg there 15" this is what you built this is probley closer to what you have Idd say to start port is too small, and without knowing anything about how you built it, or bracing, your tuning is probably higher then 36hz, so that would explain why, post some more info on what you have, power and anything to do with box and bracing (pic never hurt) and will see if we can help some more, but im assuming your tune is probably closer to 37-38hz
  5. There some monster changes, If you want to not have the baffle build the entire box with 3/4" less deepth, It will ease tuning slitty but not much, If you make port smaller it will lower tuning + increase net volume witch will also lower tuning As I'm mobil I can't check out what it would do or where changes would neesd to be done to do this, Maybe some can But idd just build it less the baffle and keep port same if you can But the baffle is important also
  6. If I were u wait until you have the car before you do or buy anything, Take some meserment of what you have and what your willing to give, And if you want to keep the spair tyre(I think it under the floor) so it may determine the size of box a well Also when buying a sub, you'll need a budget for both, sub and amp and should buy both at the same time, that way you will get a good combination, if you neither you may be better of with say a 4 or 5ch amp To save space and $$$ on 2 amps
  7. How much power? At what ohms? Meserments? With In Your budget max $200 And idd say space 3-4x 10" 2x 12" Single 15 But idd suggest giving some more info? And any prefances on brands if you have any
  8. You should get it under the back seat if not even behind it, Do you have the amp already? if not idd recomend a bit more power if you can closer to 600-800 rms I take it you have the dual 2ohm And meserments? You have any
  9. Post some meserment to work within, Car type and sub/port orientation and direction
  10. Unless you running 400rms or under build it in 0.6cuft My recommendation is 10h Port 8.5x1.25 (could do 8.5x 1.125 if you need the space) Tune it to 32-33flat and no higher unless you aftet more spl What do you want to achieve with it? And how much power?
  11. another option is to run additional 6db or 12db slops high pass filters i tune a lot of boxes to mid/low 30 and normal run a 24db at 20hz (factory built in to most amp) with a 6 set at -3 to box
  12. i think 1/2 a sheet wont cut it, most 15" box use close to 1 sheet if not more
  13. i vote, contract it out to someone else who knows what there doing, and if your smart enough youll put your commission ontop
  14. The biggest problem that I see it the power you have v's you budget You could get a single 15 but not rated that high unless you bring the $$$ up to 250 Dual 12" closer to 200-250 and good for 1000+ Or even 4 10", good for the power but you'll need 200 even, so it's in you budget You'll get 4 re rex10 d4 for 200 giving you 1000@ 2ohm If I were you idd put down some meserment so you no what you have to work with, then pick from that
  15. to do what you want to do, youll also need a good eq you high and low pass all speakers other wise youll get cancleation youll want a 12db slop amp1 ch 1&2 high 70hz, low 200hz 12db slop ( single pwx 8" 4ohm p/ch @ 125rms ea) ch 3&4 high 5k, 12db slop (4x ft1 8ohm p/ch @2ohm final 250rms, 62rms ea) amp 2 ch 1&2 high 200hz, low 5k 12db slop (single pwx 6.5" 4ohm p/ch @ 125rms ea) ch 3&4 high 200hz, low 5k 12db slop (2x pwx 6.5" 4ohm p/ch @ 2ohm final 125rms ea) as for subs idd save, as if your suggesting it, you must want it, and if you dont get what you really want, youll end up redoing it again
  16. Best way is to make the height as small as possible and if doing an L-port double baffle the front to give you more depth without adding volume to the box Idd go 10" high 8.5x 1.125" but if port length become a problem 8.5x 1 will still work
  17. Meserment As the maths don't lie You could do them in as little as 4net each, but 6 is better on the power you plane to run, As for 15" You can run 2 of them in the space of an 18", and thell take more pore and have more cone area, hence louder, In your case that would be 12x 15" in the same area as 6x 18 now that's bad ass
  18. You won't fit 6x 18 in 4th You'll need somewhere between 40-54cuft net Even in a normal ported box will be 30-36net With 5-550sq" of port, That is one huge mother fucker of a box/wall Myself mesure, plane, mesure again, then replane, before you buy anything, If you get it all to fit, it will be one he'll of an acoplisment
  19. that sub has an od of 11" and a id of 9.25 how can a sub with a 9.25 id fit in an 8.5" h box
  20. sounds abit like the Darwin awards, the stupid things stupid people do
  21. it will just be a bit like this build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/139085-aussie-wagon-with-4-skar-vvx-10s/
