  4. really though, we need to test the differences in current, straight wire vs bolts, aluminum, brass ect. termlab the results. we all know that what we do every little thing counts down to removing the carpet off your box. ive got aluminum bolts, but I just ended up doing a hard wire, to prevent loss of any PPP PO O WWWAAAA
  5. SHWIZZZEET, i was really looking into some hertz stuff before i finally decided on what i ended up with, looks like some really nice stuff, have npt heard them yet though,
  6. The 1/0 ga has now entered the Bass tasting room

  7. by the age of 19 I started realizing that I understood certain things about audio than others, it was like I had a whole different perception oh things, never saw eye to eye with hardly anyone. Trial and error with many boxes and tons of different kinds of subs started giving me a better understanding. I've always been in this stuff pretty much on my own. I go to a shop to buy 2 strips of 8ga, and they say "thats not long enough for an amp" and I say, "its not for an amp, its for a speaker" then all of a sudden im the idiot that wires subs with amp wire..... that pretty sums up how it is around here. Dont get me wrong, there plenty of people around here that know about car audio, the problem is is that most of them are not at the audio shops. I like to take nothing and turn it into something, when you throw as much science at it as you can, you can really pull off some interesting, and un-realistic shit, in my most current builds case, I applied everything I knew about maximizing a cheap subwoofer, putting it in a scientifically designed proper enclosure with enough loading pressure to actually increase power handling there for increasing output, and applied everything i've learned and understand into a super dooper party pooper woofer, vodka

  11. with out anything I added, the barrel is 1" thick solid American white oak, it is also very old making it even harder, I went through 2 drills, and a jigsaw cutting and screwing shit in on this thing, also, stripped the shit out of a bunch of screws, they would not go in, even with pilots. by the time I was done hooking this up and screwing the sub in my new drill was seriously smoking really bad, still works dont know how much longer. I dont want to know how much I spent modifying that thing,
  12. The first vid is a break in vid, gains low, and also, learning the tune of the enclosure, the second video is round 2 of the tuning, then I will post round 3 tomorrow (holy ***), can't go do it now, im having well earned drinks. Still sporting the stock CD player, HAHA getting a new one soon, wasn't expecting to have to buy a whole new amp last week. I am showing up to the next midwestspl event in stealth mode, stock CD player, going to go down to a lower class, wine barrel ect.... haha Here it is tune 3
