the level 4 is 3 inch for both m1 and m2 different soft parts i believe id do 2-2.5k for short burps but thats just me you will have to test and tune and i think you will want a little more port area if the box is not built yet look into a 8inch areo -

xp series are not meant for under the hood applications just get a decent d series.. but listen to them ^^ get the biggest one you can fit under your hood without modification otherwise you may have to upgrade it later and yes you can mix D series with XP D/S are meant for more instant output XP is more reserve for daily driving -
damn rookie mistake... ordered 8 8s for my doors... they wont fit... thank god i was able to get 8 6.5s and cancel the other order

im glassing my doors and doing a center console for sure with or without the wall... a few friends are trying to talk me into keeping the wall and doing a rear view camera in the center console
i plan on getting like 1 ten and 2 6.5s and a super tweeter in each door or 18 and 2 6.5s and the super tweeter just trying to find some "cheap" midbass drivers lol

and now that i think about it i might just keep them and get a 2 channel and some 10s
but if someone buys them within the next few days ill go a different route

@ alex i wasnt going too but i found a REALLY cheap set of 10s
and i got nothing to do now other than tweak stuff... i didnt want to glass the doors before because it would have taken too long lol... but i think i can hammer the doors out in about 3 days of steady work.. center console will take a little longer because i dunno if i want to do a single 8 in it for midbass or just keep it low pro

whats the lowest reactive load a sundown amp can see before it protects?

you probably have enough box rise that that the amp is not seeing anywhere near .35 would be my guess, especially if your not protecting with a stock alternator

I know im not near .35 but im hoping over atleast 1ohm (I know imp isnt gonna be the same through the whole frequency rang) but I still feel like these IA 15s can take more.. once I order my alt I might upgrade to a 4500

so smaller voice coil length completely under the top plate in the magnet gap what are the benefits over the common overhung?

vs what, regular is 50% in the gap? i dunno if its 50% but i know underhung is the coil is in the gap 90-100% and i take that back about better low end frequency response i think the benefit was more sensitive less xmax more power/coil in the gap to control the cone i also read the cost is higher to produce them over traditional overhung subs im gonna stop guessing lol

correct me if im wrong but its the way a sub is designed... coil is like 90-100% in the motor gap thats what i read anyways i think their a better design for low end frequencies (take all stated above with a grain of salt till someone else chimes in this is all i remember from reading about it like 7 months ago)
