  1. Not in house, not what I was meaning sorry about that. Tooled overseas still IIRC but they are his own designs, that's what I was getting at.
  2. It's a breath of fresh air to see companies innovating/tooling their own shit, rather than picking off the shelf parts and slapping their logo on it and calling it good. Good job, Jacob. Big props.
  3. woofahz incoming.

yeah they have a 17hz fs. They're specced for 4ths as well. Should get pretty damn low lol. I'll have to shrink my sealed section.

  4. Lmfao, wonder why my last status went poof...?

      Orion the company.

  5. Lmfao fuck, Hoss is the most passive-aggressive person I've ever seen. And that's saying a lot, because that's going up against my mother.
  6. You read my mind Heheh. Yeah they look pretty sweet. Curious for more info.
  7. I have no clue what the C is for. I thought they just smacked their head on the keyboard and named their amp lines by whatever came out of smacking their head on the keyboard. So the max voltage on these is gonna be like 15-16v? Pretty clueless right now. Edit: ahh okay I got it now
  8. Capped? I don't follow. I saw the new SCV line but didn't look into it.
  9. Explain why a 1200w amplifier will rarely see 600w, and I'm not being facetious. Maybe I'm missing something about impedance. When wired to 1 ohm your impedance will most certainly be anywhere between 2-8 ohms. Highly general statement, but it still applies. Different for every application, but bottom line is it is very tough to only rise to 2 ohm while wired at 1 ohm.
  10. at 1 ohm, you're never going to see full power, after impedance rise. Hell, you'll probably rarely see 600 watts while wired at 1 ohm on a 1.2k amp.
  11. ordering 1.2k 4 channel mid amp tomorrow. Eeeeeeeeeeee.

No, not going to say actually. Because people are gonna flip the biggest of shits.

  12. the 12 spoke is only really a problem for the higher-tiered woofers, completely limits throw capabilities.
  13. Once front stage is done then I can actually focus on the funds for the substage. Whew. Almost there.

  14. IN NEED of someone to make four 12" flushmount rings and two Supertweet flushmount rings.

Well, know where the stolen shipment of laughing gas landed.... 5 prime suspects right here.

  16. I remember nights I used to sell rock, posted on the corner like a mailbox.

  17. Uhh that's not a 4th order. That's a ported wall. But the subs will be fine behind the seats.
  18. Keep the port unobstructed. I'm actually going to hack off the headrests of my front seats because they block my port a little.
  19. The 4th would be best for putting the port above the seats. But loading may get weird for the woofers. Can't say for sure. If you laid the woofers down horizontally. They would load a lot better. Because if you kept the woofers how they are now but had the port at the top, then the top two woofers would load into the port and the bottom two wouldn't.
  20. RE: 3.8ohm Fs: 29.4 hz Qes: 0.57 Qms: 6.39 Qts: 0.52 Le: 1.83mH Vas: 147.7L BL: 15.6NA Cms: 0.15MM/N Mms: 195.9grams Sens: n/a 1w/1m Xmax: 12mm one-way linear RMS: 500 watts I can't fix my font after copy/pasting that so fuck it. What makes a driver suitable for a 4th order or not is it's EBP. EBP = 1/Qes * Fs Now that you have you EBP, you know what your speaker is suitable for! If the EBP is 100 or more, it’s best for ported boxes. (And 6th order bandpass) If the EBP is 50 or less, it’s best for sealed boxes. (And 4th order bandpass) If the EBP is between 50 & 100, it will work in either style boxes. (And either style bandpass) EBP is 51.57. Will work fine for a 4th. And you should tune that a little higher. The tuning point for 4th orders differs from typical vented boxes. The tuning point is actually the low-pass point. It will be attenuating frequencies above tuning. I say tune it around 45hz.
  21. Welp. Pretty sure I'm going to set up a tool rack and foldout workbench on the backside of my wall and have a beefy 120v converter. Gonna have to do something about this apartment situation! Going against the grain with stuff in my build is fun.
