  1. I would spend the $20 just to support your local guy. Drew
  2. Waiting for FedEx so I can wire up some amps and hopefully make the show in Richmond

  3. Chances are, this wire will be in for the life of the car so the quality of the wire and connections will show itself over time. Like he said, don't skimp on your wires or connections. Drew
  4. Must be the connection, I had to stream low quality on the iPad thanks steve -Drew
  5. the thing is, if you dont have a dd-1 or scope, and just rely on the amp to do the work......you wont know that information (the decks max clean output). Also, anything else like a line driver, eq, processor etc in front of the amp throws the entire thing out the window. Out of curiosity i can look and see how it does at 33 but with only one tone on their entire disc and its not like ours, i doubt it will work the same. Either way the biggest gripe is that if you don't know whats happening BEFORE the amp, nothing else matters. i didn't. In the video you leave the speaker disconnected while scoping with the amp then plug it in and play then go right to the DD1 with the speakers still wired up. Would the loading of the speaker change either the amp or DD1 setting?
  6. Is there a particular reason you set the jbl unloaded and set with the DD1 loaded? Drew
  7. Damn I liked my Infinities! -Drew
  8. I'll be off to work here in about 20min and you'll see my posts drop off. I work in a classified cave with no electronics or a flightline where I can't carry a mobile. Oh well its been a good run, broke 60 posts before work. YAY UPGRADES WOO MORE MOD POWERS. yup. -Drew
  9. I've gone ape-shit today with posts. I've been up since 3am with NOTHING to do but sit here and monitor the boards. -Drew
  10. You're a damn post whore. But, I do the same thing with the bookmarked recent topics. -Drew
  11. Go for it! worst case you rip off the baffle and do four 18s ported. Nobody will know exactly what it will sound like until its built, but If I could fit that in my car I sure as hell would put in the time and effort to see what it ends up like. -Drew **as you can see in my picture, i have like 50" across haha TINY car.
  12. Audio is a bitch of a game. BUT. With six 18s walled in a car (even sealed) you could play damn near anything you want at their RMS rating and it will hit. It won't play into the low 20s like a blowthru and it won't peak at 40hz like a ported box and it won't be perfectly fat 25-80 but it will play damn near whatever you throw at it. -Drew
  13. I would put sealed on the table. If I had some serious gear to play with I would try and maximize the potential for each by going four ported. With those Dayton's, I would use the price point to my advantage and go with six sealed in the clam. Just make the wall as big as possible without creating any dead space using the trunk. -Drew
  14. HAHAHA. Joking right? with six 18s you will play any freq you tell it to play. There is no unloading under a tuning freq, just a nice smooth rolloff. -Drew
  15. I know this may sound crazy... you have so much cone with six 18s have you considered just going sealed? It is similar to tunnels that are not ported but they have so much fucking cone and motor force in such a small space they end up really loud and sound really good. IF you can somehow fit 60" wide in a car six 18s in a sealed horizontal clam would be different, be reliable, and sound pretty damn good. -Drew
  16. Is the sub built yet? Why are you wiring to .5? also, is there a particular reason you are going with the flared port as opposed to the slot vent? -Drew
  17. That AGE video was pretty funny. I have gotten a good laugh out of all these videos when they are Air Force Related -Drew
  18. I know you guys won't get this but WTH I feel like posting. Sorry OP for stealing your thread like a DBA -Drew
  19. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice. always down for an upgrade. -Drew
  20. Sorry for typing in guys ... I was proud to be a crew chief on those Jets ... And to be in the United States Air Force !!! I had no problems with anyone in my time of service ... Sorry for interupting your thread ... To be more specific, I hate my 22 crew chiefs because they FUCK UP MY COATINGS/PANELS. Jack of all trades master of none. the primer/topcoat wasn't much of an issue on 4gen jets but they have an entire career field for it on the 22. -Drew
