Chris
Quick question, my amps should be fine at a .7ohm load right? I ordered the dual 2ohm version (dual 1.4ohm) I'm not gonna BLAST it constantly... 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. Chris
My Q's were shipped out this morning, so they'll be here early next week sometime. I've got a few questions though: I don't feel like changing my alt out yet, but I'll be running close to 3000 rms, should I get a second battery like I have to make up the difference? Will the 15"s respond decently in my box (2.9cubes per driver tuned to 35hz) And finally, any guesses on what kind of SPL I'll be able to produce? 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. Chris
Okay, so my delivery was delayed until tomorrow & you better believe that they will be installed AS SOON as possible, but I just need to know, if I get another (third) battery on a stock alt, it won't hurt anything will it? 4 15" FI Q D2's in 12 cubes tuned to 32hz 1- T1000.1bd's 3 Maxx 29 deep cycles 4 runs of 1/0 gauge -Big 3 -Trunk sealed off from the cabin Custom 15.8 dual-volt switching MLA module All in a CAR. Torres
it's possible to hurt the stock alt. mine held out a while, then ended up dyin on me while i was driving. and in a not so nice area at that. 5 minutes away from my job site and i had to get towed home and called off work. if you're gonna blast constantly it may be too much strain on the alt. but i'm not 100% EDIT: i had 2 extra batteries too fyi
