Maybe some sort of promoting the sport. Flyers at local car shops even big places like Best Buy. This may sound lame but even some high school promoting like in the auto shop classes. There are many bass heads out there and lots of youngsters. That have no idea of DB Drag, MECA, USAC.

We (Flex Issues) didn't just get lucky to have so many competitors. Just saying.

i mean no offense here berto but some teams look for members and do mass recruiting, some teams only take on a few select people. the number of members doesnt gauge how good the team is.

we had a string of new competitors that wouldnt travel, bragged about getting 1st when no one else was in their class, thought they were the shit, cried if they didnt win, etc., etc. i have been happy with most of you newer guys so far. i have yet to meet most of you in person but you are at most of the shows and i dont see too much drama. its a nice change.

about putting up fliers; we should have one flier that we can download and print. more people might post fliers if they all dont have to make one themselves.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

he meant the show we hosted.. we promoted as good if not better then any Cali Meca show I have seen. BestBuy, shops, schools, craigslist, random people on the street, facebook..u name it, we probabley did it...i think he was saying that we didnt get lucky to have a big turn out, it was all the legwork..that said, i think any team or shop that put in the same legwork we did would have a really good turnout...further, if ALL of us as competitors put in that legowrk for every show, the turnouts would be incredible. Our team puts in promoting work for all the shows, not simply the one we hosted

your shop has a good friendship with many compeitors here in central cali, which is great. I think the better the shops relationship to the community, the better the turnout. Your shop is ingrained in the comp scene, which very few shops now a days can say. I think it would be prudent for other shops to follow your lead as far as how they involve themselves. However, this is only applicable to select shops, as many shops have no true concern or desire to compete or be involved in it..I have tried to get the shop here in Hanford involved many times yet to no avail..And its not like this is the type of shop that is a Sony and Hifonics dealer...they are an Earthquake, DC and Memphis dealer, so they have the resources to build loud vehicles...they just choose not to
