Sheena
Yeah its def coming in through the rca's and its not the cables themselves, so it has to be an internal deck issue. I just hope my amps aren't damaged from whatever the deck has done. Could a surge happen through an rca and cause damage to an amp? man i wanna say no.. i posted some tips on the other thread that you asked this question in. i really doubt that it can harm the amps. but test a new deck if you can. 09 Civic EX KDC-X395 (2) SKAR Audio VVX-12 Skar Audio SK-1500.1 4 cu ft @32 (new box and more port soon) Firing Forward not sealed off Stock 80 Amp Alt Big 3 In 1/0 Knu 2 Runs To The Back 1 Pos 1 Neg In 1/0 Knu DD-1'd 13.8v drop

baaudio
ive had two kenwoods do this to me. my 5160 did this out of the blue, then i got a 5180 from warranty. the 5180 had this happen when my line driver blew up on me and it fed back into my deck. with my first deck it was perfect on my way to work, i got in to go home and holy hell that bitch was singin. i couldnt believe it. the deck i have now seems to be holding up well however. so im no stranger to this issue man. best of luck to you getting this sorted out Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
OrionStang
Turns out it is the head unit after all. Swapped in an Alpine 9885 and there is absolutely no noise. So good news I know the problem, bad news I need a new deck. I might sell the Leviathan to fund one and get a new alarm while I'm at it.
