Ram1989custom Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 I still have trouble believing that a sub that massive exists. It is so beautiful, almost too good to be true. OrionStang Posted January 6, 2012 Author Report Posted January 6, 2012 hey blue have you thought of counter sinking that all thread. atleast on the front baffle. That was my choice to do it that way. This box isn't really meant to be pretty. Gonna see how it performs first. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Blue Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 The look on the front is going to be temporary for now. Want to get it in and playing first. Don't want to spend 100 bucks on stuff to make it pretty now when it might not perform the way he is hoping and tears it all back out again. So let it be for now and if/when he likes the sound of it, pull it back out and start making it pretty. formerly known as Blue86f150 its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies. Siete_Cinqo Posted January 6, 2012 Report Posted January 6, 2012 $100!??! I don't think you get what Max was trying to say. His lazy writing skills make it hard to understand. All you need is a hole saw, slightly bigger then the bolt on the all thread to cut out the first layer of wood. Big enough to fit a socket to tighten it up. 3/4" should be enough to flush the bolt. Another thing, I would resin the inside of the box where the all thread comes out because it does leak some air. Figured that one out when we resined the whole inside of a box that we put all thread in an the resin leaked out. And that was even after using a washer and a lock washer on both sides.
