THEKINGsBACK
so basically with that said... 14.4 at best... ? he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:
Jagraj7870
external regulator...keep the voltage in a safe range at ALL times by external voltage regulator you mean like a xs VCM ? or is there something else? i know a MLA module will make it run at 15.5 - 2 SMDs 1 Kicker WarhorseSound System Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/120796-2-18s-in-jeep-wrangler-jk-w-kicker-amplifiers/Air Bag Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/166437-jeep-wrangler-bagdj10k-build/https://www.facebook.com/teammayzn
Neo_frog
Sure thing.. excuse the shitty cell phone pics. This is 9kW+ on a 320A Mechman, four runs of 1/0, build still in progress. Everything is running just fine. I'll be adding a VCM and some other electrical later. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Neo_frog
The box that's in there now is just a temp I threw together. About three hours of work I'd say just to test out the Jeep's response to the weight, vibration, peaks, etc. I've already torn it out and started a new one. This box was put in last week. The port is dependent on the box and cone area, but to meet tuning goals, I didn't account for anything but roll off, so it's a bit small. 8x8x12 I believe. Its a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. That's why I was saying all this talk about the CAN isn't really worth looking into. The shop screwed up something. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Purplehaze
Sounds like the problem is w/ the isolator. If the alt is running to amps and front batteries, then its conflicting w/ the isolator. You are not supposed to use an isolator AND run straight from the alt or batt, right? Kinda defeats the purpose of the isolator, rt? Id ditch the isolator, and run from alt to batt to batt. Should fix your problem. By running a positive from the alt to the amp, it is by-passing the isolator. IF someone wanted to use an isolator, (which are pointless in car audio) you gotta run a primary and a secondary. the secondary runs from the isolator, that way it can isolate it. Feel me?
