Drone works with any alarm or as a stand alone.

I am a big fan of DEI - Viper alarms. I have several in different cars. I do not own the 5902, but it seems tfo be top shelf. However I came across this system which takes a picture of the thief and wondered what you all thought about it?

I would get a 5901 or 5902 before that.

viper.

5902

the viper 5902 is not all that like yah make it seem, is no doubt is reliable and works well but the compustar alarm is far more reliable than the viper plus the response is dead on quick.

i have 3 cars and both are installed in one of my cars.

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.

Well the question is why?

I like the idea of being able to have a picture of whomever is setting off the alarm, whether it be neighborhood punks or an actual car thief.

Well putting the alarm differences aside for the moment, what does the Dronemobile add-on offer that the Smartstart add-on does not?

one is vipers one is compustars.

Of that I am aware. However I was trying to discern if there was any advantage(i.e. more features, lower yearly cost, etc.)in one over the other which might help to make buying one alarm over the other a factor. For instance, if knowing how fast your kid might be driving with a real time report or alarm, when the other one might not have that feature. I know the older Smartstart did not have that feature, but I think the newer version might. So anyone with up to date info on which system is better would be appreciated.
