1995 ford explorer

You think this alt is legit?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/250-AMP-HIGH-OUTPUT-ALTERNATOR-FORD-EXPLORER-4-0L-/260712441306?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AFord%7CModel%3AExplorer%7CYear%3A1995&hash=item3cb3ac25da

Has great feedback atleast.

And I know. Mechman all i could find were expensive ass $400 alts. And im no good at alts..

I was told tho an alt would prolly > an extra battery. but who knows maybe down the road ill have both. Wish I didnt have to spend more $$$ But what can I say. Cant help it. Damn bass.

2k rms system (or possibly).. doesnt nearly put out much power now w/o the gage goin back n forth and lights dimming.. upgrading the big 3 this week.. and yea thats the story.

An alternator is not something u want to cheap out on. That 250A alt probably puts out that power at 6k rpm, that's how they get away with calling it a 250A alt when it's probably worse than your stock. I would personally go with a D3400 under the hood or in the back to run the system, people have told me that should suffice for 2krms or so...

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

Well ok, I wanted to get a battery in the first place.. but everyones tellin me an alt would be better. Confusing business.

And not everyone was telling you to get an alternator, audiofiend was and ruined the thread to the point I just ignored it. For your 1500-1600 watts you do not need an upgraded alternator.

The big 3, in true 0 gauge, largest battery you can fit up front, and depending on what you fit up front, maybe an extra in the back.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
