WillPwn4Food Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 So, today, I was clipping the wires off the wire harness for my front two doors on my 02 Taurus. Reason being was I had to extend them for my lambo doors. Well, I'm not done, but I noticed a few things: Dome light does not come on at all. My speakers do not work (Even the back two). Just the subs work. And the trunk does not open with the keypad or the button. Only the key works. Are there grounds for those parts within the mass of wires going to the doors? Or does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram stating what each wire/color is? I know, I'm not done with it, but I'm freaking out already. It all worked before I chopped off the wire harness connector thing. sprkn_ranger Posted April 2, 2011 Report Posted April 2, 2011 If all you did was cut the wires, then it should all work again once you extend the wires. ( A ) Wires coming from the car ( B ) Wire harness ( C ) Other end of wire harness ( D ) Where I cut the wires. In theory, I should be able to just hook them up wire to wire and forget the harness.... Right? Something tells me I fucked this up.
