dubknight Posted April 9, 2011 Report Posted April 9, 2011 Since it's in the topic I have a 0 gauge question. Running 5000 watts RMS on two amps (2500 a piece) getting juice from two alternators pushing about 500 amps at revs. If every rating I see about 1/0 wire says 300 amps, does this mean that I would need to run two 1/0 power wires to my secondary batteries from the front? Sorry if this is a no brainer question. Quote

Alts output is max of 500 about 300 idle. The issue being one outputs 200 and the other 300. So i'm sure i'm in for a wiring conundrum. Quote
