Ecco Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 The only unmarked cars that I was aware of are the normal Ford Crown Vics, any color, with a yellow oregon plate to show that it's a state-owned vehicle, and they have flashing white headlights, bars in the back, red and blue in the grill, and flashing red taillights. The ones you ran into, man, I'd be calling 911 so much. I don't trust those cars, it's way too easy to buy them, instal them, and pull people over and write them tickets, or even (morbid) kill someone.

It's a great way to give tickets to people who DESERVE tickets more than others. If you were in some real trouble, why would you only wave down a cop? ACKAWILY Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Cops have no business even chasing a vehicle that is running from them...ever watch cops or worlds wildest police chases? take down the plate number, and step the hell back, let them drive home, follow them with the helicopter and bust them. You are not helping the situation by trying to chase and ram a car that is already showing you its intentions. It should be a federal law stating cops should not do high speed pursuits, you endanger more lives making that car go crazy trying to get away than you do if you let them speed a little stop and then arrest them. Lets say we do "take down the plate number, and step the hell back, let them drive..." and then they stop their vehicle in the middle of the neighborhood and start executing everyone they see? What would be something we can do to stop that? Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

thesilve15 Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 Today i watched a dodge charger with normal plates, black windows, (it was white) and a custom front grill pull someone over for talking on the cell phone... NO siren, NO light bar on top, NOTHING, just flashing headlights, lights on the dash and rear window... Also a suburban got behind me (it was green) had a red light on the left side of the grill lit up. That was it, so i played it safe and got out of its way. IT went by me and had the full cop light bar in the back window and pulled over a 300c that was getting off the freeway.... No siren, no intercom, no special plates, nothing just a regular suburban with a light bar and obviously malfunctioning front lights in the grill..... Are you serious? How am i supposed to identify you as a police officer or an emergency vehicle...Protect and serve, how will you do either of those things when i cant identify you? If im getting raped how will i know which car to wave at for help? Also how the hell are these things on the freeway giving cell phone tickets? Any thoughts? I think it should be illegal, it makes impersonating a police officer way to easy...You need to be identifiable for SAFETY. How does a small child know which car to take candy from?? huh? <_< This was I80 between natomas and roseville. haha if im getting raped i would be waving at any damn car in sight! but i feel ya, i downtown roseville there was a guy pulled over by a tan jeep charokee with lights in his dash and maybe top window. it pisses me off. how to the people with black windows know when to roll them down

I'm a huge audiophile, and have gotten my issues with law enforcement, especially with my systems. But that doesn't mean I wasn't a big boy and chose to do so. Feel like its a stupid law? Fight to change it. But until then the law is the law, and the fact we can't feel more comfortable breaking it because officers are in unmarked cars isn't an excuse. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
