Can anybody help me? 1999 Monte Carlo Sony CDX-GT34w 2 Alpine Type R 12"s in 4 cubes tuned to 35hz American Bass VFL 80.1 amp @ 1 ohm (probably doing between 1000 and 1300rms) Stock alt, Stock batt, Big 3 Upgrade Boston s55- 5 1/4s (doors) Boston s95- 6x9s (rear deck)
SkylarDunn Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 pretty sure balanced RCA signals are with the positive signal on the inside and ground is on the outside, and with unbalenced you have 1 RCA for ground, and 1 RCA for positive, it all depends on what you need. Getting bass into the cabin of a W124 mercedes is impossible. Current setup: Temp 1999 panasonic HU rockford 300.2 for fronts rockford 200.2 for rears rockford 400.1 for sub Leaning towards a 8" in an exponential horn DAMN YOU GERMANS AND YOUR 5" SPEAKERS!

You confused this with the "3Sixty" series The info you want was right on the page OP- Short Description: The Balanced and Unbalanced mode allows the output signal to properly match the input of the amplifier. This results in better noise rejection. Long Description: Unbalanced mode only has signal on the positive wire (+) of the RCA. Balanced mode has the same signal on both positive (+) and negative (-) wires, therefore the signal voltage is doubled. However, in balanced mode, the negative (-) signal is out of phase and therefore any noise common to both the (-) and (+) conductors will be eliminated.
