If your company is part of a major corporation, call Human Resources. They will get rid of him in a heartbeat.

When it comes to work your integrity is not worth the money, or lack thereof, that you're being paid. Don't ever let managers push you around. Stand up for yourself and do it in a professional manner, out of sight/ hearing from customers and if he's still got a problem with it let him fire you. Don't quit. Collect unemployment until you find something better. There are good jobs out there looking for experienced workers.

You don't need an appointment to say that someone is out of line. If your colleagues start mouthing off or getting loud with you in front of customers, you have all the right to tell them that you're not going to talk to them in the presence of customers and that you're more than willing to talk in the back or just walk away and take a 10 until they cool off.

It seems to me that the owner has his ass on backwards. If you guys already met the owner to have a sit down and he didn't do shit about it, you only have to show them who the boss is.

Get your co-workers together and on your most busiest day, all call in sick. Let the manager detail the cars! You can't get fired for being sick on the job. You don’t have to put up with demeaning behavior at work from your manager, tell the owner that it is causing you to be sick.

If things do not change, then call in sick the next day while you search for a new job. This way you don't get fired and have no income. You can collect Unemployment if you do not work your normal hours. Under the circumstances, it may be time for you to go, you can always get a new job!

The time and effort you guys have placed at your location should be a clue to the owner that the manager is the problem and not the employees!

me n my 4 co workers confronted my boss..worked for bit treats me ok (im like 3 times his size lol) other 2 have last warnings he set them up and other bloke slowly getting pushed to retire soon..

but for me it worked lol if not beat him..but out of work.. random attack ect pay ur mates..lol

I was in a similar situation for the last month.

But I confronted my Boss for the way he was treating me and all the other employess.

He just said thats the way he is, and that he wasnt gonna change for anyone.

He said that if I wasnt happy to just leave so I did.

From what I hear from my ex-coworkers he needed to hire 2 ppl just to cover me.haha

I feal that this job wasnt meant for me, so im not stressing it much.

sorry but people are not always going to show you respect, and who is to say you have earned it? no offense I just don't know you or the situation so who is to say it's as posted.

All of the suggestions above will only help you get out of this situation, not teach you how to deal with it.

And I also see no racism, just because some one brings up where you came from doesn't make it racism.

To be perfectly honest, most people have had a boss similar to this at one time or another, that is just life. It sounds to me like you really just don't like the guy. But you don't have to like him, you just have to get along w/ him. Trust me, it could be a lot worse. I'd just learn to accept the things you cannot change, it will make you a stronger, better person in the long run.
